The layout and design of the facilities and the room were quite nice. We enjoyed the rooftop deck, though the rickety stairs made us a little nervous. The breakfast hours were great! Early enough to eat before going on excursions, and late enough to have a relaxing morning. Reception was welcoming. Very comfortable bed and good size room.

There were several items in a state of disrepair that might have impacted our decision to stay, had we known: the A/C didn’t work, hot water was spotty and sometimes not available at all. The breakfast provided was okay, but the staff would ask Spanish speaking guests if they’d like eggs, but we would have to ask and in fact were completely ignored more than once. The sun shades did not provide privacy from seeing directly into rooms, so if privacy was desired, the blockout shades had to be used and turning the lights on (waste of energy).

Breakfast is served from 4am which is great when you have an early pick up. Rooms were really warm & cosy when the heating worked. Nice outdoor undercover seating area.

When we arrived, we rung the bell several times as the outer door was locked. Our driver also phoned the hotel but no answer. After waiting 5 minutes the owner got out of a car parked literally outside, and let us in. He'd even driven past us (unbeknownst to us he was the owner) while we were waiting, stared at us and still didn't let us in straight away. Room 108 - we didn't realise until too late and then there were no staff around to help with getting the heater to work and also there weren't any blankets on the beds so it was a very cold night (we did request blankets the next morning and got help with the heating). WiFi was patchy in the rooms. Breakfast was a bit basic, it consisted of cereal, toast, cake, cheese, salami and fruit.
