Pretty, historic place. Comfortable room. The ladies taking care of us in the morning at breakfast were wonderfully helpful - hard working too!

Dinner good but portions a little small and wine pour a bit anemic (could also use some other labels besides the house wine).

Well presented room. Quiet and peaceful. Very helpful and polite staff. Nice breakfast.

Tea/coffee making facilities in hallway not bedroom. Somebody took the kettle back to their room and held onto it for 1/2 hour! Ended up going to the kitchen to get hot water. Breakfast serving starts at 8am which is later to every other hotel we stayed it. Not a problem for us but dining on 2nd floor and bedroom on 3rd floor and no lifts available so if climbing stairs on issue for you this hotel may not suit you.

Lots of personality, well maintained common areas and great staff. Location was great.

Location was a very peaceful and idyllic village. Room was quiet, beds comfortable.

Staff did not seem to be properly trained. We stayed for the three course meal in the evening. Before choosing our wine, we asked what was being served. The server did not know. Only when she brought the plates did she say what was on them. The main was cod. I do not like or eat cod. No one came by to see if our meal was ok. She simply came and took the plate away about 15 min after serving, seeing my meal still on the plate, she did not ask if it was ok. Dessert was a custard over crumbled cookie, it was bland. No one asked if we wanted coffee or tea. No one actually came back in the dining room after the dessert was served. We left after 20 minutes. Very odd service. Training seems to be an issue.
