Pleasant stay in the charming stone-built butique hotel

From the first time you enter the hotel, you feel warmly welcomed by nice and friendly staff I really like this traditional stone architecture of the hotel and the same stile of the interior. Placed in the very peaceful small street, you can enjoy in relaxing and quite stay. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and very cosy. Hotel has a beautiful garden terrace surrounded by plants and flowers where I enjoyed breakfast and morning coffee. With the car you need only 5 min to the city center of Poreč and 15 to 25 min walk to the first beach.

The general vibe of the castle like property with completely new interior but matching decor. The cutest enclosed garden space for breakfast, having coffee or just drinks was a great place to chill out. The cleanliness was 10/10 and rooms fully equipped, very comfortable and spaceful. Above all else, the hosts were amazing! Delightful, kind, serving, very flexible and available at all times for everything we needed. The main reason we would come back to stay here is not only all the lovely charms and comfortable accomodation but the great hosts!

Superb

The accommodation is situated approx. 10 minutes (by car) far from Porec, which is seafront turistic center including one of Croatian UNESCO place. The price was (10/2022) much more favorable than suites directly at Porec. House is old building (looks like part of castle) but sensitively renovated. Who loves "romantic" stile of stoned walls with white ceiling divided by old wooden beams must visit. Everything perfectly clean with the clear intention of achieving the guests' well-being. And it works. Room was really enough for two with own toillete. We stayed only one night (our fault :-)) but the host - Katarina - was excellent. I really recommend.

The whole place and room looked beautiful, carefully curated and exceptionally clean. The hosts were warm, friendly and helpful when we asked for suggestions on the best beaches in the area. Everything we needed was provided for, from wifi to access to a beautiful well-equipped communal kitchen. Would definitely recommend

The hosts are very welcoming and nice, really trying to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. Location is great, it is so quiet even though you are so close to the city. I literally could not hear any traffic noise in our room, amazing if you are looking to get a good night rest.

Good place, poor sound insulation

Beautiful building, nice staff and free parking. Quiet location around 6-7 min drive from the center. Good shared facilities (well equipped kitchen, barbecue, outdoor area).

The rooms could do with some sound insulation, we could hear everything happening in the toilet of the room next door and outside in the hallway. Value for money could have been slightly better.

We enjoyed our stay in Palazzo Gulici very much.

Castello Gulici was perfect for us. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It is a unique place with beautiful original features and very tasteful interior. Because of the thick walls we didn't have to use the air conditioning which we appreciated very much. We enjoyed our breakfast on the roof terrace. The manager Katarina was very friendly and provided us with useful information. We felt very welcome.

Very friendly hosts Katarina and Mandi, who make the guest feel as if he has come home. The accommodation is a quiet native Istrian oasis away from the tourist bustle, where you can rest your body and soul. I strongly recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful stay at Castello. It definitelly made our vacation.

I absolutely adored the aesthetics of the building and the way it has been renovated. The ambiance is very pleasant and I especially liked the shared kitchen and the terrace in the garden where we could enjoy our meals. Also, the rooms are very clean and cozy. I would definitely come here again!

We really enjoyed staying at Castello Gulici, the rooms were clean and very cozy and the host was super nice and friendly. We can recommend this accommodation to everybody. I would leave more stars if possible :)

The only disadvantage was the location, which is a bit far from city center, but as far as you have car or bike, you are fine :)

Luxurious accommodation for a reasonable price

We chose this accommodation even though it was a bit further from the sea and we didn't regret it. The house is as beautiful as in the photos and everything looks brand new both in the common areas and the rooms. There is a spacious terrace with a BBQ that we didn't have time to enjoy as we only stayed one night. I particularly loved the amazing smell of the bedsheets and towels :-)

We were just sorry that we couldn't stay longer ;-)

Fantastic place and great Hosts

I've decided to go to Croatia spontaneously and can't imagine how lucky I was to find this fantastic house to spend there a couple of nice days and nights;) Hosts are great, Tomislav and his family are nice people ready to help and listen to you on every occasion. House is located in very quiet district, just a short stroll from the beaches and city center (aprox. 25 minutes walk). Nice roof terrace with direct acces to the kitchen and big garden with all you need to have a great BBQ party. I'll definitely be back.

Everything was great! Beautiful house in village near Rovinj with warm host! On top of house is nice terrace with great view. In room that we stay dont have TV, but that was plus! You can enjoy quiet nights.

Beautiful and comfortable Istrian stone house

We absolutely loved staying at this house!!! The house and the room were thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with a feel of an old Istrian stone house. The beds were very comfortable. The house has several terraces (one of which is on the roof, with a view that extends to the sea). The house also has two fully equipped kitchens! The receptionist was especially kind, forthcoming and helpful! We’d definitely come again!

Great family run hotel

Extremely nice staff were really helpful, and assisted to accommodate changes to our booking last minute. The room was cool, the kitchen is common and very spacious, the terrace of the top floor is gorgeous, a number a beaches a few minutes drive - and a lovely garden with BBQ facilities which we hope to use next time we visit.
