We stayed here for 6 nights as a family of 4 and honestly couldn’t have picked a better place for our first trip to Sardinia.
We had the upstairs two-bedroom apartment with two en-suites, a kitchen and a terrace with the most amazing sea views. It was really comfortable and having air conditioning throughout was a lifesaver, especially with the heat!
Alex, the host, was absolutely lovely. So friendly, helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The ground floor has a really nice reception area with comfy sofas and even a piano, which gives the place such a lovely, homely feel. There’s also a beautiful garden with plenty of seating and an outdoor shower, which was perfect for washing the sand off before going back inside.
I’d definitely recommend paying the small extra fee for the private parking. Street parking was completely full when we were there, so having our own guaranteed space at the property was so convenient.
The location is brilliant. The beach is literally across the road, and we actually think this end of Poetto Beach is the best part. There are loads of restaurants nearby, a gelato shop that was busy every evening, and a little funfair a short walk away which the kids absolutely loved. Cagliari centre is only about 15 minutes by car and there are plenty of supermarkets nearby too.
We genuinely had such a great stay and honestly couldn’t fault the place. It’s comfortable, convenient, in a fantastic location and Alex really makes you feel at home.
We’ll definitely be coming back! ❤️

We had such an amazing stay at Villa Maria Luisa. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the location couldn’t have been better.
Alessandro was an exceptional host. He recommended some fantastic places to visit and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He even arranged our taxi to the airport before we had a chance to ask, he was always one step ahead and made everything so easy for us.
We will definitely be coming back in the future and would highly recommend Villa Maria Luisa to anyone looking for a wonderful stay.
