Disappointing Service for the Price (€400+/Night) We stayed at this hotel for two nights, but the service was far below expectations—especially for a 4-star property charging over €400 per night. Upon arrival late at night, the front desk staff showed no warmth or willingness to assist. We were simply handed the room key after payment, with no greeting or offer to help with our luggage (we had 2 large suitcases each). When we tried to scan the QR code for Paris tourist maps, the staff rudely accused us of "no right to film anyone," even though we were clearly just scanning the code. What’s more, when we mentioned that no one even held the door or luggages for us (a basic courtesy), the response was, "This isn’t a 5-star hotel." That’s not an excuse—even budget hotels often provide better hospitality. For this price, we expected at least minimal effort to make guests feel welcome. The room itself was fine and staff worked during the day were okay, but the lack of basic customer care ruined our first impression. Management should retrain staff on professionalism and guest service.
