Apartment Laura Makarska - Peaceful Retreat with Heated Pool & Sea View

Appartement très spacieux, au calme. C’est très agréable de n’avoir la piscine que pour 2 logements. Nous n’y étions que tous les 2. La vue sur la mer et la montagne est incroyable. Appartement très très bien équipé : il ne manque rien. Nous avions apporté nos produits mais il y avait tout à disposition (café, lessive …). La literie était parfaite et la Clim et le barbecue très appréciables. Le balcon et la terrasse sont très agréables selon l’ensoleillement. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et super gentils (petits cadeaux à l’arrivée et même un très beau cadeau à notre départ). Ils étaient très réactifs et de bons conseils. Si nous revenons à Makarska, nous reviendrons chez Léa avec grand plaisir. La ville est également très agréable.

Véhicule indispensable : Makarska n’est pas loin mais il faut une voiture car la route assez sinueuse. Nous avons apprécié d’être un peu à l’écart de la ville pour retrouver le calme et le chant des cigales au retour de la plage ou des balades à Makarska.

Everything was simply perfect.

Little bit slow internet connection.

Jakov was the most amazing host you could wish for. We had added our daughter as an additional guest right at the last minute and this was not a problem at all. Our flight had been delayed for an hour and after a fraught period at the airport trying to secure our car hire at Split airport, we didn't get to the apartment until after midnight. Jakov stayed up especially to greet us with his lovely dog Ricky and made sure that we settled into the apartment before he left. The apartment was clean and spacious and the pool was brilliant. The only issue we had was problems connecting to the internet, but Jakov went out of his way to sort this out for us, even giving us copious amounts of his fabulous home made red wine to make up for the inconvenience! The location of the apartment halfway up the mountainside offered the most amazing views to the coast. The area was quiet and quite remote with quite steep access from below. There were excellent walking trails immediately from the apartment across the Biokovo mountains to get to the centre of Makarska within 25 minutes in one direction or Tucepi in the other. The scenery in this part of the Dalmation coast is stunning. One highlight was hiring bikes from a fabulous family run bike hire place in Masarska and cycling along the coastal trails as far as the beaches in Podgora. All in all a fantastic experience and a big thank you to Jakov and his family for helping to make it more special.
