Misleading pictures of other rooms within the guesthouse

Beautiful location in the old town, close to beach and restaurants. Big bed, decent fittings including fly screen and shutters. Can see a beautiful sunset from balcony. Reasonably quiet at night.

We booked the double room with balcony and sea view. The picture of what is supposed to be our balcony shows a room with with a stand-alone balcony looking out over the sea. However, there is in fact another new adjoining balcony on the sea side which now has the superior view. So when sitting on your balcony you can still see the sea, but mainly the other adjoining balcony. When we enquired with host she told us that the pictures are old and that there used to be only one balcony (our balcony) and that the adjoining balcony closer to the sea (the host’s balcony) was built afterwards (and pictures haven’t been updated to reflect this). Pictures of our room also show a window looking out onto the sea. Our room has a window looking into an olive tree and another building. Not the worst outlook, just not the one advertised. The pictures should really be updated. It’s really quite misleading. There are only 3 or 4 rooms. It’s not hard to have photos of the specific room you will be receiving. Currently photos mix and match the best of all rooms. So don’t expect your room to match all the pictures. The host didn’t seem to want to accept my feedback on pictures not matching, and instead argued with me that the pictures are fine, despite changes happening to the property to the detriment of the guest room’s outlook. Didn’t feel overly welcome. Our room also states it has a kitchen and a fridge. Turns out these are in fact shared with other rooms on another tiny balcony. Description needs to say these facilities are shared. One morning when I cooked breakfast there were 4 other guests on the balcony (it must have been 6sqm at most). Also it felt like I intruding on the other guest’s space (as they probably thought it was their private balcony). The sheets have yellow stains on them and the room had mosquitoes when we arrived. The bathroom has an opening above it which lets flies and mosquitoes in. The room smells of stale cigarette smoke.

I wouldn’t stay here again. It was an unfriendly place and just didn’t feel right.

Location was great.

I felt like i was in the way, living in someone’s lounge room, always being watched. Felt like i had to tiptoe around, and i was an inconvenience being there. It just didn’t feel warm and welcoming. Also the hot water wasn’t turned on so after a day swimming and sweating I wasn’t able to shower and i could not get an answer from the host about the hot water until the next day.

Disappointing

Instead of an apartment with a balcony for four people, we got a studio for 2 people, the owner was very nice, we still decided to leave early. The room was clean and tidy.

The city of Ulcinj is a very dirty and neglected city, the problem is parking. Small beach -people destroyed it, a very dirty beach in the water you can see the remains of cigarettes, plastic, bags, etc... nearby are Liman I and II beaches, which were a little better. I recommend the big beach, Vandalos beach, or Sv. Stefan and Budva.

Great little apartment!

This is my favourite area to stay in Ulqin. It's quiet, coffee to my favourite swimming spot and daytime/nighttime bar/restaurant at Sunset Beach. Nice big room. Kitchenette was handy. Great see views and fancy balcony and washing line. Definitely appreciated the air-conditioner!!! Staff are lovely and recommended boat trip to Kristal Beach with fish picnic was great.

Wifi was really unreliable, the room had a musty smell from moisture.

Nice Stay in Ulcinj!

Great location in the old town area, a close walk to sunset beach bar, some nice restaurants and beaches. The rooms are really big, spacious and clean.

Something really basic, but we were never left enough toilet paper (we are 3 ladies) and had to keep asking for it. At one point we were just given a roll of paper towel as they ran out of toilet paper - this felt a bit degrading to be honest. It would have been appreciated if the host went and got us some more.

Room was inside the old town, comfortable bed, working AC, clean.

We booked a double room with balcony and see view, but the room they gave us had no balcony at all. When i asked for it, they showed us another balcony that was not connected to our room. We had to leave our room to reach that balcony. Unfortunately, it was totally different of what was shown in the pictures and it was dirty and untidy there. No handsoap in bathroom. Parking for 24 h is 6 euros.

Amazing place with great service!

The accommodation was very tidy and super clean! Amazing location with a nice terrace which had an amazing view! We felt very welcome because of the hostess and her fun and social daughters who picked us up from where we parked our car. Thanks again for the great experience and the nice time we had at guest house Alea :)

Cozy place with a wonderful hostess. The room, we’ve stayed in, has an awesome design and a beautiful sea view. We liked our stay so much! But it’s better to ask for the directions ahead - the old town is quite confusing :)

Excellent location, right in the middle of the old town. Close to the beach and a variety of restaurants. Quiet area, away from the loud music. The apartments itself were really clean and cosy, had a sea view terrace and friendly staff.

Best place to stay in Ulcinj :)

By far the best place to stay in Ulcinj. It’s in Stari Grad, and within a two minute walk you can be at Sunset Beach. The AC works very well ( I love a cold room)! The owner of the property is very nice (she is a multilingual queen) and I recommend staying here! The apartment is very clean and an overall great experience. This is my second time coming to Alea and I will continue to come back every year! I’ve stayed at other places in Ulcinj, and many are not worth their price, but at Alea the price is right and it exceeds my expectations every time!!! Side note: if you are a female traveler I recommend coming here Bc it feels very safe and comfortable! Other side note: Sunset Beach (2 min walk from Alea) is very lowkey and a quiet spot. The owner of sunset is a very nice man, the staff is amazing!! The price of the chairs is very reasonable and so is the food ( amazing pasta omg ). Mala Plaza is also close, but it tends to be packed and a tad bit rowdy so I highly recommend Sunset! Also for anyone coming to Stari Grad::: it’s not handicap accessible so keep that in mind; there are many stairs and they are somewhat slippery, it’s also a steep walk. If you are older it might be hard to walk up the stairs to get to Alea, but again that’s also very reasonable considering it’s an old city.

Мне не понравилось отношение персонала — они начали вести себя хамски в переписке. При возникновении неприятной ситуации с налогом, они взяли плату за туристический налог, однако его так и не оформили. В других местах такой проблемы не было. Фотографии и описание не соответствую действительности: - Балкон на фото отдельный с видом на море, фактически у вас общий балкон с соседним номером с разделением перегородкой (вид и площадь уже не соответствуют). - В описание номера указано, что собственная мини-кухня. Фактически у вас общая кухня на этаже. Кухня очень маленькая, посуды практически нет.

Sijainti vanhassa kaupungissa on rauhallinen, ja pahin turistihässäkkä on muualla kaupungissa. Alakerrassa on ruokakauppa, uimaan pääsee ihan läheltä ja vieressä on lukuisia hyviä ravintoloita. Majoittajat ovat erittäin avuliaita ja ystävällisiä.

Хорошие апарты в самом сердце стари града. Хозяйка позвонила и объяснила как добраться, где поставить машину. А затем ее дочка встретила нас на парковке и проводила до места👍 Апарты очень уютные, есть балкон с потрясающим видом. Кровать удобная, есть еще небольшой диван. Чистота идеальная. Вы живете как бы в доме, вход и прихожая с хозяевами общие.

Небольшие поломки в ванной, телек так и не смогли включить))) На кухне нет свч. Довольно слабый вай фай. Но эти минусы не критичны)))
