Perfect location! Good value for the price

Perfect location! Overall good value for the price. I would recommend this place for a weekend trip to Paris.

It’s quite small, but we knew that it would be small when we were booking the apartment. No street noise, although the apartments themselves had really thin walls. It would get quite warm inside at night. No luggage storage available.

Excellent location, not for comfort or light sleepers

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for more of a place that is like staying in someones tiny but charming Paris apartment (for better or worse), more a place to crash and maybe cook some meals. The location is absolutely excellent in Marais, you have walking distance to all the hip and cool places and neighborhoods, we basically walked everywhere. So it is really the location you're paying for here. Access went smooth and easy, the host sent the codes to enter our room before we arrived, so even though we arrived quite late it was no problem getting into our room. There were heaters in the room and the bathroom as well, which was good. Two coffee capsules, a bit of tea and a small water bottle was available to us on the room when we arrived.

If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. In the apartment we stayed in (Matsa Bowl), the bed is not a proper double bed, but a 140 cm bed, which was quite crowded for two grown-ups for 3 days. There were two rock-hard cotton-stuffed pillows each, which was very uncomfortable for a side/stomach sleeper, and they smelled pretty sour. Sound isolation was non-existant, so you could hear everything from both upstairs, the stairwell and the courtyard. The small outer door before the apartment door closed with a loud bang, and when your neighbors was outside their door trying to enter their room, it sounded like they were in your room. The first night we were woken up at 5am by loud thumps and stomping from above, the second night from our "floor neighbors" coming home late and slamming doors, the last night we stayed there, there were handymen that started yelling loudly to each other and using loud tools and hammering at 8.51am, so no chance of sleeping out after that. Cleanliness was not great, interior was quite run down, which could be charming, only not so charming when you find old hairs of previous guests on the floor, and the toilet brush was maybe the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. For this price, and if you are only staying in Paris for a few days, it's more worth to book a proper hotel and get some actual comfort and cleanliness, so we won't be staying here again unfortunately.

Horrible experience, don’t go there!

Absolutely nothing, it is a scambio

Very disappointing stay. The apartment was dirty, damp, and noisy, with people walking in front of the windows all night. The furniture was old and filthy, and there was a strong smell of mold everywhere. The courtyard and access path are much smaller than in the photos, and overall everything looks much better online than in reality. When we contacted customer service, they said there were no other rooms available, even though there were still some on Booking.com. They also promised to send someone to clean, but no one ever came. In addition, when people smoked in the courtyard, the smell entered the apartment. Definitely not recommended.

location is amazing, and the hidden courtyards provide relief and shade. The studio is well appointed and check in was very easy

the entire set of building along the courtyard is short-term rentals. It is a touristy microcosm and it can get loud. Cigarette smokes wafts from below, music from above, children noises etc. It also would be nice to have a person on place that helps with questions and potential issues

Booked Dream of Summer apartment overlooking the gardens and courtyard. No view at all out of the windows as completely covered with foliage which made the room very dark all the time and extremely claustrophobic. As a consequence I didn’t want to spend any time in the apartment apart from going to sleep. When I did spend a little time during the day I had to always have the light on!! The entrance and pathway/seating area needs to be kept tidy and swept. The fallen leaves need to be cleared and the foliage kept under control.

Small and ok for two people given the standard room size in Paris but I think is too small for 3 people. WiFi does not work at all which is disappointing when there isn’t much phone coverage in the building

Bedbugs in room E1GG

Good location. Ok room.

Bedbugs. When we got to the room in the evening, while my partner was having a shower, I noticed a few bugs running on the bed. We decided to leave (there’s no visible staff on-site) and our weekend adventure turned into an early return home to freeze and wash our stuff. Since Saturday evening, management (and Booking) have been playing dead. The rest of the room was in an ok state.

Hidden gem with lots of charm and character

Beautiful, tucked away, hidden gem with lots of character. This compact apartment makes great use of space and is spread across multiple levels with an adventurous quality to climbing up between sleeping areas which excited the children. Direct access from the main stairs into the top bedroom makes this climbing through access not a necessity.

The only things that caused issues for us were that the skylight/velux window above the bed was missing it’s blind or any form of curtain making it extra bright and hard to sleep past sunrise. The larger apartment is also up many flights of stairs so some may struggle.

The location was wonderful and the exterior and courtyard very charming. It was a lovely place to come back to.

The sleeping arrangements were cramped and the shower very small. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The decor was a bit tired. Also our taxi booked through the property was 15 mins late and we had to order an Uber. I'd really like a refund on the deposit please?

Not clean, apartment wasn’t ready at arrival, dirty laundry in the floor and thick layer of dust. Sleeping coach not very good. Had go ask for new bed linen for both beds and staff wasn’t very quick to respond but kept asking: are you sure? Got it in the end, just a little cumbersome

We loved the courtyard that you passed through to get to your rooms, and the location was ideal for getting to all the best sites to see in Paris, as well as numerous great restaurants.

Our room was incredibly cramped, and there was no place to unpack our luggage and put clothes, so we basically had to live out of our suitcase for three days. we had no room service for all three days, and had to ask to get a couple of new towels and additional toilet paper. in addition, it was a good thing we were both in good shape, as the shower was so small you almost had to be anorexic to fit in it. What passed as a cover sheet on the bed, appeared to be something more like a fitted sheet for a large mattress, with a small duvet and thin green blanket thrown on top of it. For what we were paying for the room, it was a terrible value, as we could’ve stayed at a five-star room at a Hilton in Washington DC for that amount.
