Fort JadhavGADH -A GADH Heritage Hotel

Excellent heritage fort & location, and maintained very well. The rooms, food and staff were all very good. Cleanliness of the rooms and property in general was excellent. Just a short 1 to 1.5 hour drive from Pune

The location is a fort, and hence climbing steps is required at almost all locations - hence the hotel would not be easy to elderly or physically challenged individuals. This is not to fault the property, but rather to caution potential guests of the nature of the location. It would have been good to have a mini refrigerator in an otherwise well equipped room.

All staff across the board from Front Desk (Priya, Shashank, Sneha), to luggage help staff (Gaurang, Dinesh), to the Hotel Staff at Payatha and High Tea Restaurant were amazing. Rooms were clean and service was prompt. Rooms were clean, well maintained and it really appealed to my wife was you were able tp carve luxury through the historic fort while keeping it's old charm, making us feel that we were part of it. Every staff dressed in traditional Maharashtrian clothes was enhancing the experience even further. We had a great fun strolling around exploring the lawn area, doing the adventure activities (rifle shooting, archery), the museum. But to my and my son personally, the highlight was an encounter with peacock when it flew down from one of the boundary walls and effortlessly crossed the road in front of us. In one word, Majestic!

Check in experience with Anvay could have been a lot better. In my stay with various 5 star properties in USA, India and many other countries, never did a single person ask for my son's ID (he is 9) nor did they so bluntly turn down the request of a late check out (we checked in around 3.30 PM). Check in at the hotel is a first touch point with your property and a only capable staff can handle these first impressions on guests well. At least, smile. :)
