Der Blick aufs Meer war sehr schön. Das Wohnzimmer war gemütlich, das Schlafzimmer hell und freundlich.

Maison individuelle dans un cadre idyllique, très agréable, hauts plafonds. Il ne manquait rien dans la cuisine. Très belle piscine, beau jardin, superbe vue sur la mer et la colline. Le calme complet. On nous a changé les draps et les serviettes au cours des 10 jours et la piscine a été nettoyée plusieurs fois. Très gentil accueil. On s’est senti comme à la maison. Je recommande les yeux fermés.

On entendait parfois les aboiements des chiens des alentours la nuit et le lit pour deux personnes pourrait être plus large… mais on a quand même très bien dormi.

The casa is just beautiful; one of those rare places that have it all - beautifully restored old building, fireplace, cosy rooms, outside bbq grill, nice lawn, and a pool. Searching for some solitude and trying to escape during the strange COVID-19 times, we found Casa Simón a perfect place for our family stay (couple with an infant). The outside grill is perfect for evening barbecues (fresh fish!) and the cosy bedroom located upstairs offers perfect sunrise views from its windows. Sure, the casa is located in the north of the island which is a bit colder and more prone to rains, however this is well matched by the proximity of laurel forests (Los Tilos and Cubo de la Galga). La Palma's capital, Santa Cruz de la Palma, is a 40 min car drive - useful for resupplying with fresh sea food and also worth a stroll through the old town. For the seaside, we liked the promenade from San Andrés to Puerto Espíndola; the eponymous San Andrés restaurant on the main square of the village at the church was perfect, too. Overall, we really liked our winter trip to La Palma and our stay at Casa Simón despite occasional rain and wind! :-)

Heating facilities were minimal; and were needed because of the cold weather.
