    The Bell Motel is conveniently located close to train, tram & Bus stops. And walking distance to Preston Room was clean & comfortable

    Room was fine. Carpet could do with an upgrade. Pity it’s not double glazed to subdue the traffic noise.

    Check in was fast and pleasant as were the couple operating the Motel. When I got to the room with the key the rooms door was wide open. I couldn't believe that was my room. The number was 16. It stank off cigarette smoke. I turned on the air-conditioner for a short time but it wasn't blowing in cold clean air, just making a racket. I complained to reception and the man of the couple came with me to inspect. He said he will get some perfumed stuff into the room. I had to go to an appointment and when I came back late at night the room still stunk. The room itself was shabby and worn but reasonably clean otherwise. I won't be staying there again.
