Cae Berllan Cottages

From the moment we got there it felt like home, there was everything we could need in the kitchen, the bedrooms were cosy and clean, the bathroom was really big and the garden was lovely, the living room was comfy and there was games and books. We was greeted by the owners and shown around they was so lovely really helpful. It really made our little break away magical

Beautiful location and very well equipped with everything you need for self catering. Nice extra touches of tea,coffee,biscuits and toiletries and wine in fridge. Fab private garden fenced in and Very spacious cottage.

Was nothing we didnt like

The location was great and easy to find. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They responded immediately if we had an issue. The facilities were clean and there was plenty of crockery/ towels / stuff you'd hope they'd provide. Oven and fridge were clean. The space was large enough inside for our boys to run around and play comfortably without being on top of us. Big kitchen table was great. Beds were clean and comfortable. The cot provided was a proper cot and not the usual naff travel cot. Baby slept really well. Parking was easy and right outside.

We booked here because the pictures showed a secure courtyard with play equipment for our boys. The courtyard wasn't actually secure. The gate didn't shut properly (or our back door with a fair bit of force) and could be easily climbed over. The play equipment had been moved to the front which was much harder to supervise. There were also random piles of wood / cardboard/ stuff. The accommodation itself was clean but shabby. Skirting boards falling off, doors that didn't shut properly and questionable carpets considering how much time kids spend on the floor. The plumbing also wasn't great. The bath / sink / toilet were very clean but the hot water was warm at best and the toilet took a long time to refill once flushed.

Amazing location, peaceful and lots of space for the children to run around. Lots of space inside the property very comfortable beds and sofas and a nice large dining table.

The Lino in the kitchen and bathroom is beyond its sell by date and is lifting and could be considered a tripping risk. The shower and bathroom never ran warm enough for a comfortable temperature to bathe. Some previous guests clearly don’t have good hygiene as some oven pans and frying pan again have baked on food even though I scrubbed them and put them through the dishwasher I think they need replacing.
