We recently stayed at this lovely cottage and were genuinely surprised by how spacious it was. It had absolutely everything we needed and more — fully equipped, clean, and very comfortable. The whole family had a fantastic time, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The cottage was cosy yet roomy, spotlessly clean and tidy, and beautifully decorated for Christmas, which really made it feel like a home away from home. The location is wonderful and peaceful, with sheep, rabbits, and other animals nearby, along with lovely grounds to explore. It’s such a relaxing setting. The owner was friendly and approachable, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We had an amazing time and would definitely stay again — our dog absolutely loved it too!

We had a pleasant stay, though a few areas of the property could use some refreshing.

The owners live on the same site, so they were there to welcome us, open up, and show us around as soon as we arrived. The property itself is nice and spacious. We stayed in the larger cottage that sleeps seven (there are other cottages on the site as well). At the front of the property there is a gated garden for your sole use, complete with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The living area has double doors that open directly into this garden, which was lovely. At the back of the property, accessed through a door in the kitchen, there is a communal garden. To the side of the property (across a gravel road) you’ll also find a communal children’s area with various pieces of play equipment. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, and also included an air fryer, a small slow cooker and a large dishwasher — all welcome additions. The dining table is located in the kitchen and seats six; there is a high chair available, and I’m sure the owner could provide an extra chair if needed. The living room is large enough for everyone to sit comfortably, with a three-seater sofa and two two-seaters. The smart TV offers plenty to watch if you sign into your own Netflix or Prime accounts. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly for all of us with no issues. The double bedroom is just off the living room, and this is where you’ll find the cot if needed. The two single rooms are both accessed from the kitchen. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and a separate bath with an additional over-bath shower. We really appreciated the little added extras — toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits, condiments, and even a bottle of wine in the fridge. A lovely gesture!

The property overall is quite tired and in need of a makeover. The flooring in both the kitchen and bathroom needs replacing, as it has come away from the floor in several areas. The walls would benefit from a fresh coat of paint, and the carpet in the living room is in need of a deep clean.

Lovely, relaxing stay

Very spacious and had we needed for our stay. Lovely welcome on our arrival and all the information provided for our stay. They were responsive when we needed something. It was a nice touch to be given a bottle of wine also tea, coffee and biscuits. The accommodation was nice and quiet and we had a relaxing stay. The beds and lounge and dining area were all comfortable. It was also dog friendly and secure garden at the front

The floor finishes were abit worn but reflected in the price. This wouldn’t stop us from returning and it’s a lovely property in a quiet area

Wonderful, fresh air break away!

Host came out to meet me, and showed me around the property, and taught me how to use the boiler, and explained the house rules. The living room area is really spacious. We went as a party of 7. We had a bed each. There was also a cot available. It is comfortable enough that you don’t worry if the dog makes a little mess. You have facilities to clean, and it is forgiving. There’s plenty of kitchen equipment; including a microwave, an air fryer and an oven. We were left a bottle of wine, which I thought was a lovely touch. The towels were freshly laundered and fluffy. And there are washing facilities to use free of charge. We are a little rowdy and our dogs can be a nuisance but we were not made to feel as such. Accessible shower. There’s an orchard on site where you can grab a fresh apple for breakfast if the season is right. Location is great for exploring several local waterfalls and Anglesey. There is a Tesco within 3.5miles.

The lino is lifting in places, particularly the kitchen and bathroom and is becoming a trip hazard. The place sleeps 7 or 8 if one is a baby, but the table seats 6, we couldn’t eat at the dining table. WiFi is poor, and there is a notice to not connect too many devices. When travelling as a party of 7, each person has at least 1 device they want to connect. Do not expect to have decent wifi or cellular signal.

A superb base for our visit to Caernarfon, especially when compared to other more expensive places

The hosts were outstanding - really friendly, responsive and helpful. The property was amazing value for money compared to others I considered in the area.

The only problem we had was that the sofa bed was broken when we unfolded it, but I assume that was the result of a previous guest breaking it and the owners were very apologetic when I mentioned this to them. Otherwise everything was excellent

A really lovely peaceful and safe place for young families and others

Good communication from the host, very prompt answering any messages through Booking.Com, including us arriving later than planned as it was a lovely day and we wanted to stay out longer. The place is lovely, a really safe environment for young children with lots of grass and toddler toys. Lots to help young families including a cot, great bathroom, and plenty of slides etc for very young children. Games and dvds for families in the cupboard. Lovely big rooms especially the bathroom with gorgeous fluffy towels.. Well equipped kitchen with a bottle of wine and some milk sachets and coffee/tea/biscuits for a lovely welcome. I would definitely come here again if I need a little oasis.

Good location to explore Norh Wales.

We received a warm welcome from the host. There was everything you needed for a comfortable stay including tea coffee milk biscuits and a bottle of wine which was much appreciated. We overlooked an orchard. The outside space was lovely to sit out in (apart from the garden needed some attention) and as the weather was great we appreciated this. Very close to Caernarfon, Portmeirion and Anglesey.

The property could do with a deep clean. Carpets very dirty, nets needed replacing, windows needed a good clean, cushion covers were dirty and the shower was very dirty. Bedding seemed old. Also the cupboards in the kitchen were very musty along with the wardrobe in the twin room. The outside space at the front needed weeding and plants needed pruning over the gate arch. Could be fabulous if it was given a bit more love.

Bit scruffy but OK for families on a tight budget.

Would be good for families with little children. Good location for exploring north Wales. The lady who runs the cottages was very pleasant. Nice welcome pack and a bottle of wine in the fridge was a nice touch. Plenty of space in the cottage.

Tired and a bit dilapidated. Torn wallpaper, stained carpet and water stains on the bathroom walls. Bed and pillows felt old. Strange fusty smell covered with an air or carpet freshener that I hated the smell of. No cafetiere or coffee machine. Broken gate at the front and lots of weeds in the front garden area.

Fishing trip to Llynn peninsula. 9

We were all on a fishing trip and it was ideally located as a base for the Llynn peninsula, Also Anglesey . It was comfortable and had everything we required. The host was available whenever we needed them, which was only once when we arrived. I could only find two cups so went to the house to get more which she gave me immediately, when I got back to the kitchen there were four of them staring me in the face. So I'd say it had everything. We will definitely be there again.

The distance to any local pub was beyond a walk but that was compensated by the host kindly leaving us a bottle of wine.

Perfect location. Huge space. All the appliances we needed for our stay, including a slow cooker and air fryer. Play areas for the kids were great. Own private outdoor seating area. Warm welcome and seeing off from owners including tips on site seeing and takeaways!

Most relaxing

Perfect peaceful place to explore wonderful North Wales from

Lovely people, very welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect, within easy reach of Snowdonia, which was the reason for our stay. No problems at all with the residence and it was great value for the size. We had a really nice weekend and it was perfect for a weekend away from the usual hustle and bustle

It was a good place to come back to after a long hike

Great value for money in clean, relaxing accommodation.

The property did not have high standard fittings but was very clean, homely & relaxing with a lovely welcome. The best soft, fluffy towels I've ever experienced in a life time of staying in hotels the world over! The property was exceptionally good value for the money. We will definitely be looking to stay at the cottages in the future should we need.

The entrance lanes from the main road were very narrow for car towing a trailer. I would suggest to clarify which lane is most suitable for larger vehicles in the website to avoid unnecessary anguish.

Excellent location, friendly people, always helpful.

The owner Mike was super friendly and helpful. Beautiful peaceful location. Close to local town that has an Asda, Tesco and Morrison’s. It is only ten miles, 20 minute drive from Snowdon. (Ranger path car park). Close to a seaside location called Portmeirion ( £20 each, no dogs) and a more dog friendly place called Porthmadog. We will return here. It’s exactly what we wanted.

There was nothing not to like. It’s a home made property what the owners have made. It’s clean, towels, dishwasher, shower and bath. All excellent.

Peace and Quiet......

We were welcomed by the friendly host, who showed us around. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, off the beaten track. A short drive to Caernarfon and stunning Snowdon. If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get greeted by the local sheep and lambs in the morning, who like to graze in the field opposite the accommodation. The accommodation is very spacious and has essentials, i.e. tea & coffee, biscuits, a variety of small toiletries and most importantly a bottle of wine in the fridge. The surroundings are great for children, with swings, slides and ride on toys (our daughter loved it).

Unfortunately, it wasn’t clean and needs a major refurb. I wondered if smoking was allowed inside, as there was a musty smell and ashtrays are available…………….hence the smell I guess. The accommodation could be really good and the host seemed lovely, with some great touches inside and in a great location, but unfortunately it wasn’t for us.

Very nice quiet location with short drives to most N Wales attractions. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Kitchen had all the required utensils. Reasonably good internet connection. Friendly owners who stayed nearby.

Lovely warm and great location

This was perfect for our group of 10 who were climbing Snowdon. Beds comfy and it had everything we needed for our short stay. The views are amazing. The owners were lovely greeting us on arrival to show us round and offering us an extended check out if we needed. Was great to see the animals. Perfect place if you have children.

Oh, and one more thing – they genuinely care about your safety. They even have gas sensors in a house that does not use gas! 😆 Now, that is what I call going the extra mile! Pets? What about pets? ----- bring them with you; animals are a big part of their family and are welcome too! Our cat was happy there and did not spend all days hidden - that is a good sign! Thank you for an unforgettable stay – we cannot wait to return!

Seriously, how dare this place be so perfect that it makes going back home feel like a punishment? 😆 Oh, and one more thing – they take safety to a whole new level. Good value for money, spacious and in a good location.

We were 10 people staying in two of the cottages and the living and kitchen area were both spacious and comfortable enough for us all to gather in one. The heating was very effective and rapidly warmed the properties.

Brilliant stay and perfect for big families! We booked all 3 cottages for the bank holiday and had a fantastic stay. Great location, loads of stuff for the kids and cottages fully kitted out with everything you need.
