ApartDirect Gamla Stan II

Great location

We had 4 people staying and the bed wasn’t made up. Sofa bed was not particularly comfortable for adults.

Fantastic location on a popular touristy street in old town. Despite the immediate proximity to all the restaurants, bars and shops, the apartment was not noisy. The kitchen was a good size and nicely equipped. The bedroom was spacious and there were plenty of extra linens. The curtains were easy to use and blocked the light well.

While the living room was smaller than it appeared on pictures, the bathroom was absolutely tiny. It was difficult to navigate taking a shower without getting water all over the floor, even with care and patience. Definitely not a space easily navigated by larger people. We had an issue with the toilet that could have easily been resolved with a plunger, had one been available. Given that there was no plunger, I called the apartment manager and indicated that the toilet was clogged. They tried to tell me that we would have to wait until the next day for someone to look at the toilet, until I insisted that it was unreasonable for three people to have no access to a toilet for 18 hours. Luckily I was able to figure out another way to unblock the toilet, so I didn't need to wait. I don't know if we would have been without a toilet for an extended period of time if the toilet had really been stuck.

Just on the heart of Gamla Stan, very central near everything. The apartment is not as big as I thought to be, but have everything. An old building renovated in small apartments. Beds are good and comfortable. The ApartDirect office is very helpful and easy to contact. I will probably comeback again

The luggage room it is on the 4th floor with big stairs. If you have big luggage, try to arrive after check-in time. We were lucky to stay in 1st floor apartment

As the apartment is located by a very busy street, it is very noisy at nights.
