The view of Lake Como from our balcony was exceptional! The home and yard are beautiful and fit the six of us comfortably. Peaceful location. Host was responsive.

Although there isn’t much of a center, it’s a close drive to other towns and Menaggio.

The house is located in a very peaceful place with a beautiful view and a lovely garden. It is also quite close to the bus stop, which is useful if you do not have a car. The house itself was very spacious. As a couple travelling with our 15-month-old daughter, we actually did not use all the space available. The rooms were large and could be nicely darkened, which was very helpful for sleeping. The kitchen was fully sufficient, and we were able to cook and manage meals comfortably during our stay. The bathroom was also spacious enough. Overall, the accommodation offers a lot of space, a quiet setting and a truly beautiful view. It is not a luxury place, but considering the price, location and surroundings, it offers very good value.

The only real practical issue for us was the shower. Water was leaking out during showering, so we had to use several towels to keep the bathroom dry. As we had two rainy days during our stay, a heated towel rail, radiator or some similar drying option would have been very useful.

Given the price range (almost € 1,500 for one week in August 2021), I would have expected a little more comfort in the home. At this price range, I actually expect that there is standard air conditioning, and a dishwasher in the kitchen. The apartment is furnished very basic, but that seems to be something Italian, because I have rarely come across a holiday home in Italy that makes you think 'yes!'. A lick of paint works wonders. For unclear reasons, the glass panels from all room doors were replaced by a piece of chipboard and, as mentioned, the doors could urgently use some paint. The holiday home is within walking distance of Lake Como, you have to go up a very steep and narrow slope, which runs between two concrete walls, so there is no room to move. With a slightly larger car, that remains an extremely exciting moment every time. The apartment also lacks a number of basic things: e.g. a trash can in the bathroom, mirrors in the bedrooms (only one room has a mirror) and wardrobes to store your clothes. You now have to hang it in a rack, where there is barely room to store anything. A broken toilet seat that shoots away every time you sit on it is also easy to repair, at least I think. The view from the balcony at the first floor apartment was beautiful, full view of Lake Como, it remains a beautiful sight.
