Lemontree Apartments

We’ve just stayed at Lemon Tree apartments for a week. A fantastic location, very peaceful in lovely gardens with pool, sunbeds and parasols. Only 5 apartments in total so the pool was never busy. The apartment was clean and well equipped and larger than we expected. A comfortable bed and clean, modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. A short walk from beautiful Avlaki beach , two tavernas and boat hire. Avlaki beach was never crowded but we did do the short walk through the woods to the next very secluded cove. We hired a boat for the day 120Euros (cash) a lovely way to see the fabulous coastline and stop at other beaches, with stunning turquoise water. We had a rental car which I think would be essential to see the rest of the island. Kassiopi and supermarkets are a fair walk away so we appreciated having a car

The apartments are very poorly signposted making the property difficult to find even in daylight! A simple sign at the bottom of the road would make finding it a lot easier. Whilst the rest of the apartment was clean, modern and well equipped the fridge was old with rust on the front and the door seals were perished in places causing it to ice up frequently. Whilst we appreciated the clean airy interior we felt it was a little bit bland and a few nice pictures on the walls would make it more homely.

Swimming pool, quiet location, close to Kassiopi (by car) and other eateries close by. Helpful staff. Very well maintained rooms and grounds. Plenty of shade

WiFi worked best outside on balcony. Ceramic hob tempremental. Housekeeping staff struggled with anything but Greek (partly my fault). Would have benefited from a written guide for guests

We really enjoyed the peaceful and quiet location of this accommodation. The pool was clean and quiet, which made it a lovely place to relax. The beach is about a 9-minute walk away, and the location itself is really nice and peaceful. Location is a bit remote (besides the beach and 2 tavernas at the beach the is no grocery store that’s walking distance) we had a car which made getting around much easier. One of our favorite things was the trail at the end of Avlaki Beach. It goes through the woods and takes you to three different beaches. We really enjoyed walking along the trail and discovering these more hidden beaches — definitely a highlight of our stay. The accommodation had basic kitchen supplies, which was useful, but unfortunately they were not in very good condition. The pots and frying pan in particular could use replacing, frying pen was scratched and sticky, one of the pots couldn’t be used at all due to faulty/bended bottom. Overall, we really liked the peaceful location, the clean pool, and the beautiful walks and beaches nearby. With some improvements to cleanliness, kitchen equipment, and the bathroom, the accommodation could be much better.

We never met the owner in person. We did message about the ants we found, and were told that since the property is in the countryside, this is normal. While we understand that being in the countryside can mean encountering some ants, it wasn’t pleasant to arrive and find ants all over the kitchen and on the bedroom floor. Cleanliness could also be improved overall. Another small improvement that would make a big difference would be adding a shower curtain. Without one, the whole bathroom gets wet every time you shower. Bed was so so, not that comfortable. And the main thing, window screens were on every window but in the bedroom, which we needed the most. Hence you can never sleep with open windows and get nice fresh air because mosquitoes would come inside. Note: there are also a lot of wasps on the balcony and around the pool (not owners fault obviously). But it’s recommended to have bug spray, having a meal or having coffee outside can be challenging. WiFi usually doesn’t work.

Δυστυχως η πισινα ηταν πολυ παρατημενη κ ειχε πιασει αλγη. Δεν καναμε εννοειται μπανιο.
