Pondok Siola

This was our second visit and it was even better than our first time! We had a lovely welcome back from Heri and his family and after our stay feel like we have friends for life! This time we stayed in a Superior Suite.....the room was clean and very comfortable with a great view. The shower worked well with hot and cold water. It is great to have a kettle in the room too. The addition of the swimming pool was very welcome....I enjoyed an early morning swim every day before breakfast with a lovely view of the nearby islands. The food in the restaurant is simple but very tasty. It is cooked to order but is definitely worth the wait. We did a snorkeling trip to the nearby islands and saw beautiful coral, fish and even turtles....thank you Adi! What makes this place so special is the staff. By the end of your stay everyone knows your name and nothing is too much trouble for them. Special mention to Heri the owner....he is very unassuming, not pushy at all, but always has a smile on his face whilst ensuring that all his guests are kept happy! We had some lovely evenings with the staff playing guitar and singing.....memories we will always treasure. Looking forward to our next visit......

The pool was not quite finished

This place is truly a paradise! Everything is wonderful! The people are fantastic. The garden is beautiful and the (new) pool is delightful. The houses are clean and spacious, too. We had a great time here and would definitely recommend this place.

The restaurant had some very nice food. The staff were really helpful and arranged a very nice snorkeling expedition.

Our room was really showing its age. The staff do their best, but this is a pretty old property. It will be even older by the time you read this review.
