Hôtel Crayon Rouge - Louvre Palais Royal

Quiet, comfortable room. Helpful and friendly staff. Very secure in superb location near the Louvre, Palais Royale Garden and good places to eat. Easy metro connections, including from Gare du Nord.

Excellent choice of hotel. Its location was outstanding: we could reach almost everything on foot within just a few minutes. Public transport was also extremely convenient, with buses, the Metro and the RER all close by. As for the hotel itself, it was stylish and full of character, with exceptionally polite and helpful staff. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with beautiful details that made a real difference-from the charming bay window to the lighting, the shower and even the toilet layout. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, with an excellent mattress and pillows that ensured a great night's sleep. A lovely touch was the chilled infused water and madeleines that were always available in the lobby, making us feel welcome whenever we returned. Choosing the right hotel is an important part of any trip, and this one truly enhanced our experience of Paris. I have visited the city several times before, but this time I felt I genuinely experienced its magic. **Highly recommended.** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I liked that it is in the first Arrondissement. My room was fab, very comfortable and so cool (in both senses of the word). The breakfast was a buffet, which was perfect. I loved the decor of the hotel, so quirky, someone had put alot of thought into it. So much nicer than a chain hotel. It was also lovely and quiet, ideal for an old lady travelling alone.

We had already slept in le crayon rouge but always booked one of the upper rooms w street view and a lot of natural light, but this time, and i had booked several months upfront, had an awful tiny room with a lovely view to …. A wall , just in front of my noise and i felt miserable . Due to the fact that the hotel was fully booked i could not switch/upgrade or they were not willing to and that room made me feel awful , luckily it was for 1 night only and it was prepaid otherwise i would have left ! They should make people better aware of these ‘detail’ which is very important for my mental well being !
