Villa Rosano

Great feeling of what it is like staying at a Tuscan Villa. Pool at sunset fantastic. Air conditioned worked fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class.

Power issues on occasion

Amazing Tuscan farmhouse with fantastic pool area with panoramic views over the hill. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook for a group. Very helpful host who runs the vineyard down the road, was happy to help book restaurants and wine tours etc. although there is no aircon the house stays relatively cool, and fans are provided. It was 35 degrees when we were there and it’s was cool inside in the evening.

Initially quite hard to find the property, suggest going to the vineyard first and getting some pointers as the address on the page does not take you to the correct place

The Villa is in a stunning secluded location with amazing views of the Tuscan country side. The pool is large and very well kept with a lovely paved stone area surrounding it. The sunset views were amazing and we had a lovely dinner by the pool as the sun went down. The pool is located a little way from the house but this wasn't a problem for us. The Villa overall is a good size. The rooms are a very good size with very comfortable beds. The kitchen is a reasonable size and has most cooking essentials needed although we did very little cooking whilst we were there. The bathrooms are large and plenty of water flow from the showers. There were 7 adults in our party and we had plenty of room. Marianna was really helpful with information in the run up to and throughout our stay. Put us in touch with a good taxi service and also did some shopping for us so we had some essentials on arrival. We were met on arrival and shown around the villa which was also very helpful. We had planned to walk the 3.5km into Greve however the roads are quite narrow, hilly and windy so not really suitable for walking so we used taxis. Spent a fantastic full day in Florence, another day on an e-bike winery tour with @ibiketuscany, one day by the pool side. Fantastic relaxing holidays with friends.

It was very hot without air conditioning although the villa is well equipped with fans to keep the air moving. As there is limited power to the villa It would not be practical to have air conditioning so this is something I doubt they could change. The fridge could do with changing as it was not cold when we arrived and when we turned the power up it frosted up very quickly but still did not keep drinks very cold. And fixing the mosquito nets on the windows where they are broken. Luckily we didn't have too much problem with insects.

Authentic, rustic building. Nice pool area.

Building was very dark, dirty bedding, hot water and fridge not on when we arrived, no cooking basics, only one tea towel, 4 water glasses and 5 cups and no rubbish bags provided for a group of 8 for a week-long stay. Fridge leaks water over floor and power supply insufficient to run kitchen basics. Facilities were really basic- stingy in fact. For that money we would have expected a little more consideration to our comfort during our stay. Disconnect between pool area and house.
