We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Nyaleti Lodge! From the moment we arrived, Ann and Marlon made us feel completely at home. They were incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our entire stay. They also took care of booking all our experiences, including the safari, which made everything so easy and stress-free. When we had an early safari, they even prepared a delicious packed breakfast for us to take with us. On our arrival, Marlon also took us on a quick tour around the lodge and the surrounding area, showing us the little roads and paths where we could go for walks in our free time and have the chance to spot animals. It was such a lovely and thoughtful touch! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and everything about the lodge made our stay special. We highly recommend Nyaleti Lodge and would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much to Ann and Marlon for making our experience so memorable!

there were aspects of the property that i genuinely appreciated. the lodge is situated within a wildlife estate, and seeing a wide variety of animals throughout the stay was a highlight and added to the overall experience. the hosts were kind, welcoming, and helpful, particularly in assisting us with booking activities. i appreciated that they paid for the activities on our behalf before we went and trusted us to settle the payment at the end of our stay, which demonstrated goodwill and trust toward their guests. despite my disappointment with the villa layout, i did appreciate that each patio had walls, which provided some separation from the other guests we were sharing the house with at the time. this at least created a partial sense of privacy and reduced direct interaction. the breakfast was also very enjoyable, especially the homemade muesli, which stood out as a thoughtful and well prepared touch.
the most disappointing and concerning aspect of my stay at nyeleti lodge was discovering that the accommodation marketed as a “villa” is in fact a single house divided into three separate rooms. at the time of booking, there was no clear indication that guests would be sharing a house with complete strangers. a villa is commonly understood to be a private and self contained unit, and the failure to explicitly disclose that this is shared accommodation feels misleading and deeply irresponsible (this information is only disclosed on their website not on Booking.com). the omission of such critical information undermines trust and places guests in an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe position. in a country with high crime rates, it is extremely difficult to justify a setup where guests are expected to share a house with people they do not know, especially without their informed consent. as a female guest, this raised serious safety concerns for me. had i been travelling alone, i would have strongly considered leaving immediately upon learning that the house was shared. while the outdoor shower may appear appealing in theory, its execution is flawed. the walls are noticeably too short for taller guests, particularly those around 180 cm or taller, which significantly compromises privacy and makes the feature impractical rather than enjoyable. i liked it because i am not that tall, but it wasn’t very comfortable for my partner.
