SWIBLATI LODGE is located in the town of Hoedspruit. This small town is known as the safari capital of South Africa, ideally situated near the famous Kruger National Park and nestled against the majestic Drakensberg Mountains. Hoedspruit is served by an airport with daily flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town. The area around Hoedspruit is teeming with nature and wildlife activities to discover: photo safaris, animal sanctuaries, golf, Blyde River cruises, exploring Blyde Canyon (the third largest canyon in the world), visiting traditional villages, birdwatching, hot air ballooning, canoeing and kayaking, horseback safaris, elephant rides…
SWIBLATI LODGE is located within the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, which covers 680 hectares, giving free rein to the reserve's animals such as giraffes, zebras, impalas, kudus, warthogs, nyalas, leopards, porcupines, monkeys, all the small animals of the bush (squirrels, mongooses, bushbabies…), numerous birds, as well as hyenas and African wild dogs. This extraordinary, dense wilderness inspires wonder, respect, and caution.
SWIBLATI LODGE is located on the edge of the reserve's greenbelt, where the animals roam, offering an exceptional vantage point for daily wildlife viewing from the lodge. Completely free "safari" excursions by bicycle or car on marked trails allow you to explore the reserve and admire the animals in their natural habitat. The bush is directly accessible from the lodge.
