Cretan Mansion with Heated Swimming Pool

Met at property by the lovely Maria even though it was about 1am...she was still cheery! Lots there on arrival...wine, fruit, bread, croissants, milk, water, coffee. Wonderful. Nipping clean throughout. Cleaners came halfway through the week to clean and replenish linen, towels etc. Pool is huge and spectacular. .maybe some sort of handrail would be an idea for older swimmers, but they managed with help. Otherwise, faultless. Spent many happy hours both in and around the pool area. It gets extremely hot there, mind! Gorgeous downstairs bedrooms around the pool. Our mams felt they were staying in the lap of luxury. My mam had the best night's sleeps she's had in years. All of the beds were extremely comfortable. Other rooms not quite as gorgeous but still lovely. Air conditioning throughout was spot on. Our room had loads of wardrobe space and a roof terrace! The stairs up to the last bedroom are open and a bit steep but doable. Room up there was lovely and stepson could still get wifi easily. 2 living rooms are really comfy and look smart. Lots of books available. Downstairs kitchen was really handy. Main kitchen was very well equipped. Balcony area for eating was lovely. Location is lovely and quiet but only a 5 minute 10 euro taxi ride from Kavros with supermarket, shops and the wonderful Taverna Pelagia's Yard. Go there. Its wonderful. 10 mins away by taxi is the lovely Georgioupolis. 20 euros for an 8 seater taxi. We ate at Mythos Tavern...food was gorgeous and beer ice cold. Highly recommend. Taxi and 15 euros to Episkopi beach..sublime day out here at Sirokos beach bar. Very cheap and club sandwiches were lovely, as was the greek apple cider! So relaxing on the beach...not crowded at all on 2nd August but we did get there at 9am and left about half 2. Rethymno was great and we had a gorgeous meal at La Boheme for our wedding anniversary. Divine. Chania was the crowning glory..what a place! We even saw a huge sea turtle in the harbour!

One tiny quibble. We couldn't get tv to work for netflix but that could be user error! I asked for pin number to reset but didn't get to try it out so it might have been fine afterwards...there was a brief power outage which may have caused loss of connection. The management responded promptly by WhatsApp to give me the code. Like I say, could have been my error.

La maison est très confortable, propre et la piscine est très agréable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les attentions du propriétaire, l’accueil et la réactivité de Maria pendant notre séjour. Merci beaucoup !

Nous avons tout aimé ☺️. Côté pratique, nous avions loué une voiture pour nous déplacer, la villa est à 15/20 min à pied des commerces et plage.

​We had an incredible stay last week! We were a large group of six adults and three children, and the house was more than accommodating, there was plenty of room for everyone to relax. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the cleaners even came in halfway through our stay to do another full clean, which was a wonderful extra ​A huge thank you to Maria, who met us on arrival; she was so friendly and incredibly helpful. The welcome basket of food and drink was a lovely, thoughtful touch. The garden also offers a fantastic view that we never got tired of looking at. Between the scenery and the huge pool, it was the perfect setting for our group. I would highly recommend if you are looking for accommodation in Crete.
