Shangri Lanka Luxury Resort Yala

The property was very cozy, and we really enjoyed the pool area. The rooms were spacious, but the highlight was definitely the staff. This was our best stay in Sri Lanka! I went there to celebrate my birthday, and the staff arranged a small cake and decorated the porch of our room with balloons. It really made my birthday trip extra special. I didn’t take any pictures of the room, but it looked exactly like the pictures shown on Booking.com.

Everything was on point

We loved the comfortable, generous sized accommodation and the lovely pool area. The food was also very fairly priced and tasty. We felt very well looked after.

The description says Yala is within walking distance. It is actually a 30-40 minute drive away. This meant a 4.30am start to get to the park. This wasn't a problem, and we loved our stay, but feel the description is misleading..

Amazing stay! The rooms were really nice and comfortable bed!! Really nice hot shower. The pool was amazing, specially the day after a safari when you’re really tired and you just want to chill. We had all our meals there as there isn’t much around town, but food was great and at a decent price. More expensive than outside but still decent prices. The manager was really nice and helpful, they prepared us a breakfast box before going to our safari and gave it to us at 4:30am. They can help you book a safari if you need to.

Everything was great!

Room was spacious and Clean. It’s more like a villa with outside sit out facing swimming pool.

1. Though the tarif was 85USD/Night, there was no basic toiletries in the room like no dental kit was provided, No bathroom slippers, Shampoo was not adequate for two people, Local soap was provided in place of Shower Gel. 2. Electricity cut out was the major issue. two hours cut in a day time and 2-3 hours electricity cut out at night. There was no power backup and it was tough to stay in room as it was humid and lots of mosquitoes presence was the big trouble. 3. No credit card machine is there at the property. owner of the property said that due to less business she has surrendered the credit card machine to bank so she can save some penny.
