Conifers

Everything was spotless and welcoming. Beautifully decorated cottage, clean and it was clear that consideration had been given to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. We were provided with milk & wine in the fridge which we appreciated.The house is absolutely gorgeous, really well situated and completely immaculate. Checking in/out was very easy and straightforward! We felt so homely and had plenty of amenities ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The cooker,we had problems with timing as the oven took sooooo long to cook anything,i.e. Oven chips 55 minutes,part baked bread should be 9-12 minutes,it took 35😞😞was a struggle cooking a Christmas dinner for 10 people in a standard oven,for the size of the property ideally could do with a much larger cooker.

The property had a large enough reception room to accommodatethe 10 of us comfortably.

Location could've been better but that's not their fault. Conifers is basically the middle property of 3 in a big old house that has been separated out. Our lounge was right next door to a resident family's lounge and was very noisy at times. The picture also is quite deceptive - it makes it look much bigger than it actually is with a huge lawn at the back which we were not allowed access to. Instead we had use of a poorly maintained patio area, which contained a filthy barbeque, and a grassed area(better maintained than the patio area) which were to the side of the patio. The cleanliness left so much to be desired - I'd be interested to know what extra cleaning measures had been put into place that took so much longer than usual. There were stains of some description on the upstairs bathroom wall and dead insects all over the house as a couple of examples. On stripping the beds we were not at all happy to find that there weren't mattress protectors used at all, instead just a poor sized flat sheet underneath a fitted sheet. We definitely left the property cleaner than when we found it.
