Westerdale Barn - 27944

Amazing location, well off the beaten track and, despite the weather, a great place to head out from up onto the tops.

It's a shame the games room was in a bit of a state.

The countryside was amazing and the Barn was very quiet and peaceful. The caretakers were very friendly as was the gorgeous little sheep in the field next to the Barn! The wifi signal was good too.

The shower in the ensuite didn't work and there was no hot water in that bathroom either so we had one bathroom for 6 people. There were steps which we weren't told about and we had specifically asked about this as we had a wheelchair user in our party. We managed but only with quite a lot of 'manhandling'. The postcode and directions were not enough to find the property easily and even on site we were unsure which was our property when we arrived. Clearer directions and a much better sign at the road would be very sensible. Name plates next to the doors would be good. There was no mobile phone signal from quite a long way along the track to the site and a pay phone on site would have been very useful!
