Seagull Cottage

Location great for the RSPB sites around.

It’s a shame that Flamborough has lost all of its 3 pubs, one has become a restaurant and the other two have closed down. This really means that you have to drive if you want to go to a pub.

Seagull cottage is in a lovely position, only about ten minutes walk from the village centre with co-op supermarket, chip shop, pubs & a few little shops. In the other direction you can walk up a farm track to the coastal path overlooking the sea. The cottage is in a very quiet area making it so peaceful and relaxing. It is well renovated with chalkstone walls throughout to make it feel very cosy. It is very roomy with 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large living/dining room. It was very warm when we were there so no need for heating but I can imagine the under floor heating would be nice. The outside space with table & chairs was a good place to sit after a long walk plus a washing line to hang wet clothes was useful.

The wooden floorboards were very creaky if you got up in the night & doors were impossible to open and close quietly. Could do with some blinds up at the bedroom windows as the curtains are very light so they let in all the light as soon as the sun came up which was about 4am in our case.

Spacious, comfortable, well appointed, child safe in in lovely surroundings, a home from home with good wifi.
