The host was very nice and helpful. The rooms are located within the castle and have great views. There is also a terrace to sit and enjoy the surroundings which we really liked

Full disclosure

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is located inside the Old Town with a sea view. There is a convinient store right below with basic products and many good restaurants in the walking distance.

I wish we would get a warning that there is no parking anywhere near the apartment. Its OK if you dont have heavy luggage or only backpacks. We had to leave our suitcases in the car and pay €12 for parking because we didn't want to dragg our luggage up the castle stairs. I think it should've been disclosed. Free parking is only available before 8 o'clock and first come first served. Another thing was that the sea view is obstructed by an unfinished construction site. Its not on any pictures in the listing. We only stayed for one night so it was not a big deal, but I would feel a bit cheated if I booked a week of "sea view" and got that. The people who run the place were very nice and helpful.

The situation about the rooms is not above the clouds. Just know that you are getting a incredible location within the old castle and in close proximity to what city offers.

Apartment was not cleaned prior to arrival, nor for some time. Disgusting.

Very peaceful environment outside on the balcony - I was there early season so it wasn't so busy in town. Sea view and pleasant environment nearby with restaurants playing music. WIFI was good.

So when I pulled back the sheet the first night I discovered MANY, MANY HAIRS - short ones, long ones, straight and curly. Body hair, head hair, you name it and none of them weas mine. Obviously they didn't change the sheets prior to my arrival. DISGUSTING. When I brought it to their attention, the hosts apologized and were nice when they came to change the sheets. This led me to inspect the rest of the apartment. NOTHING had been cleaned for quite some time. Good thing the water was scalding hot and they gave me several towels. I wiped down all the surfaces and the towels were BLACK with dirt. The place hadn't been cleaned at all in quite some time. GROSS. I think all they did to turn the room was replace the toilet paper and take out the garbage. Due to this, I sterilized all the dished prior to using any of them. Also wore my shoes in the shower. It's a tiny room - there is NO EXCUSE for this level of neglect. Either fire the cleaning person or put better business practices in place to ensure all rooms are cleaned properly prior to use. Since COVID, many hotels have upped their game. I am impressed by how many accommodations have improved since the last time I traveled. This business will not survive if they continue in this manner. Bed was not comfortable. Balcony was very small. Room was advertised for two people, but there would be no room for two people to put their luggage. Also, in the photos it shows a TV, but the TV is in a common hallway and it would not be physically possible to use it. It is also a long, steep walk to get to this location, so keep that in mind if you are thinking of staying in old town. Also, apparently the water is not good to drink from the tap, so you will be lugging liters of water up the hill every day.

Beautiful place, view and location

Excellent location, at the heart of the old city. Close to the castle museum and 2-3 restaurants. Room have a nice balcony with stunning sea view. Room is equiped with a small kitchen if you like to cook. Room was clean and comfortable. Owners are very kind and helpful

Difficult to find. It's inside the fort/castle, but we didn't know that until we finally found it. The view was limited. There was a building site between us and the cliff.

A comfortable place to stay in the heart of old town Ulcinj.

You couldn't ask for a better location. The views out towards the ocean from the bedrooms were wonderful. We really enjoyed our time here. We made good use of the terrace each day also. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped - we would stay here again.

Good location in old town, walk up to the castle Bedeni Jugor, and it’s close to restaurant Antigona, you will need to park your car downstairs.

Disappointing

Good location if you want to stay at the old town, If u re carrying luggages , choose a diff place as you cannot go through with car. Parking is around 50 steps down. Owner is a good person though. But..for 47eu u ll.find better.

Superb

The location was great, situated in the beautiful old town, close to good restaurants and to a place to swim in the sea, all of them also good places to watch the sunset. The room was very clean and comfortable with a private bathroom. The air conditioner works good. The view from the little balcony was nice, although there's a construction diagonal to the apartments that limits the view of the sea. Zuto and his wife are very nice and friendly. It was a great place to stay and I can recommend it.

The communication could be better. They could have written me a message confirming they received my arrival time and Zuto would wait for me at the gate of the old town. I was not sure if they knew when I was coming.

Our stay was way better than we expected, close to everything we needed and very good for the price.

I liked the fact that the owners were so nice and welcoming, it felt as if we were staying over at our relatives. They were also very helpful when it comes to suggesting us about the beach, where we should eat at best and also what places in Montenegro to visit. In the morning, we asked the owne where we should go for breakfast , she was kind enough to make us traditional coffee that we enjoyed in the balcony.

The worst experience I've ever had on booking.com

The location is in the Old Town

I'm a frequent traveler. I've stayed in many properties around the globe, but this place was the worst of the worst because: 1. The owner provides untruthful information on booking.com. He writes that wifi is available in all the areas in the house, but in fact, it's available only in the owner's room. I had an important online meeting the next day, so I asked the owner if I could work in his room, but he refused. He said that the internet problems occurred because of the storm the other night but that was a lie because we arrived before the storm and there was still no internet connection. 2. The owner doesn't pay taxes but still requires his guests to pay them. By Montenegrin law, every property has to pay tourist taxes. To do so, they must take your passport and report you to the Montenegrin authorities. He didn't ask for our passports and, consequently, didn't register us on the system even when I raised this question. On top of that, the owner refused to let us go if we didn't pay the taxes. Last but not least, the owner takes only cash and doesn't provide any receipts. 3. The owner is the most impolite host that I've ever met. He didn't like the fact that I raised questions about the internet and asked for a different room to work in. He said that we could simply leave and go to another place, which happened at around 11:00 PM. Since the atmosphere was bad, we packed and wanted to go, but then, the owner started demanding the tax that he doesn't report, and, seeing that we wanted to refuse to do so, he started calling us names. He said to me "mrš," which is an extremely offensive word in Serbian. All in all, I had always loved Montenegro and its hospitable people, but this terrible experience made me feel so unwelcome that I doubt that I would consider coming back to Montenegro soon.
