Excellent views and area, good stay

Stunning views, very comfortable bed, and responsive staff. Pool is huge and a good temperature with ocean view. Rocky beach can be accessed via stairs. Food is freshly prepared. For the discounted price offered on booking it was a nice stay.

Service was a bit intrusive-- doorbell and whatsapp constantly going off, though some may appreciate this. The team wants to know your food order and schedule for the full day well in advance, which, for me, isn't relaxing. I was quite sick while here and mostly resting. Food is very high priced compared to 5☆ resorts in bali with organic menus, and many things I tried lacked flavor-- summer rolls were boiled carrot and greenbean only, for example. Coffees not recommended. I loved the chickpea omelette and ate lots of fresh pesto fettuccine, but could never taste the garlic. I'm happy to spend $20 on pasta that's expertly prepared, but here it was inconsistent in flavors, portion and temperature. My sea view villa was shown with awning, though there was none, so sitting outside in the rain was not possible. A huge curtain rod fell off the wall and onto me. Talking from restaurant upstairs and some construction could be heard. I'd say if you're in the area and not worried about interruption, it's a good stay. I would not recommend it to anyone seeking total tranquility, especially on honeymoon.

Peaceful place in remote Bali that feels like heaven

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Located very remotely on the eastern shore of Bali, this place feels like heaven. If you really want to unwind with sleep ins, massages and healthy food -this is your place. Staff is incredible too.

Just fabuluas and tremendous value.

The ocean view with private pool. Out door bath and shower area with a hammock. Having meals at the restaurant or at our villa, we had all our meals in room and we never left our villa . Staff was excellant

Wonderful find for perfect peace relaxation and tranquility

The breakfast was superb very fresh and brought to the villa on time every morning by the most wonderful smiling and helpful staff! Housekeeping come when requested via the whattsapp group. Peace and tranquility is the word. All you can hear is the ocean and occasionally the goats and pigs when they are hungry! For sisolution and relaxation it cannot be bettered. Alysson and Daniella are incredibly helpful finding wonderful local drivers to take us out and when our taxi transfer failed to turn up went above and beyond to get us a new driver. Daniella was even getting ready to take us herself!! (It was a near 5 hour trip). So all in al highly recommended for couples or people looking for peace and quiet. We shall be returning soon!!

Very nice villa, I wish, we could have spent there more nights

The villa is very beautiful! Our villa with private pool was very nice as is the restaurant, outside areas, outside pool. There is also access to the beach, but the waves were high on all days of our visit. The location is also good, it is very quiet, yet the road to the villa is not the best one. The staff sent us the link, how to get there. Also you can reach Amed in about 50 minutes drive. If you want to switch off and rekax, this villa is for you. At first, we were surprised, as they have a breakfast menu. But at the end, the breakfast was great, high quality and taste. The meals were also great. There are not many other options nearby, the restaurant of the villa offers many great meals, although they are more expensive. The staff takes care a lot of you, they prepare the room in the evening.

We loved the huge pool, and the lovely staff! We also had a wonderful view from the sea view villa #2. For us it was a great place to relax and recharge after weeks of travelling.

A corner of peace on the island.

The resort is beautiful. The view on the sea is amazing, it gives a real sense of freedom. It is located in a very remote place so it be difficult for drivers to find the place and the road are very narrow and bumpy so it’s an adventure to get there. But for those searching for rest and peace, the remoteness of the place is not a problem. They have a dedicated flexible driver to get you to other places at an affordable price if you want to visit the island which is very convenient. The villa gives you privacy while common spaces let you get out to breathe some air in a luxurious environment. I also like the fact that we can choose to eat at the villa or at the restaurant. Finally, the staff is very accommodating. I sometimes have special requests and they were able to fulfill them all. Thank you!

Unfortunately the food was not to my taste. The bread was very dry. However I appreciate the fact that they are using fresh ingredients and homemade, healthy products. If the taste of food is bound to the fact it is made with health-consciousness, then I am fine with that !

Unmatched Luxury and Serenity - Shunyata Villas

This is one of the most exquisitely beautiful accommodation that I have stayed in. Perfectly furnished with expansive ocean views over your own private infinity pool. The bed is very comfortable and the day room also beautifully furnished and comfortable. The infinity pool looking out to the water, the sound of the crashing waves and ultimate privacy. The restaurant served a wonderful breakfast each morning of which you had the option to have delivered to your villa. There was also a lunch and dinner menu. We only opted for dinner on one occasion and it as a 10/10. There is another restaurant walking distance (about 15 minutes) up the hill from Shunyata who serves a small A la carte menu at more local prices, if you are looking for more options. We had a couple of massages which were of better quality than the normal Bali massage. The staff were excellent and very professional. Shunyata organised our driver from the Airport at a very reasonable rate. They advised that they use local reliable drivers and do not take a commission.

Dream honeymoon oasis

Absolutely wonderful retreat villa. We came here for our honeymoon and had an unforgettable stay. The staff are so friendly and very thorough. The property is in a rather remote location in Bali which is perfect for quiet relaxation by the ocean. The food was very delicious (breakfast smoothie bowl, Australian steak, and Nasi Goreng were some of our favourites). The spa services were also incredible (we tried the Balinese massage and Moxa massage which were wonderful).

Since the hotel is in a more remote area, you pretty much need to book a private driver to go explore the island / eat at other restaurants, and go to the beach. However the villas are so incredible you don’t even need to leave if you’re looking to just relax.

It was magical and very restful, very remote.

The room was fabulous. The view and sound of the sea was amazing. The food was delightful.

We did not get the sun on the sun loungers or by the pool if you want to sunbathe. But you could lie at the edge of the pool. It was our honeymoon but as with all the other hotels we stayed in there was no small gift or lovely message- all of which I have saved. I think it misses a little bit of bali hospitality.

Ultimate in relaxation

Stunning, quiet and just so relaxing. The perfect place to just be. We had the Delight Villa, delicious breakfast served next to our private pool, total privacy and the only sounds you hear are the waves and birds. Staff are all so friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the second we arrived. Having a massage with the waves crashing and birds sing is a must. Totally loved this place and would come back without hesitation

Found a hidden gem and definitely would recommend these gorgeous villas and property to anyone!

Best part of our trip, the villa was stunning. An the staff were so friendly and catered to your every need! We felt right at home here an the food was phenomenal with stunning views at the restaurant area. We definitely got lucky with the villa because it was just gorgeous in every way. They had day trips you could book through the villa which was so convenient, an a private driver to take you all over the island. Even spoiled ourselves an got some insane massage done, I was in heaven. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Worth the little drive to the villa.

Beautiful stay and “me time”

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Bali. From the moment I arrived, the staff and Visha made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and attentiveness. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, always with a smile. The service was truly top-notch — they were quick to assist with anything I needed, from arranging great kitchen! to providing local recommendations. The atmosphere of the hotel was perfect for relaxation. I even didn’t see people around, so well organized everything! The design was cozy and inviting, with a blend of modern amenities and traditional Balinese touches that created a serene and peaceful vibe. I loved spending time by the pool, surrounded by lush greenery, and my Ocean villa was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. SPA was TOP, ladies were massaging with so much of love to the body. Kitchen is so fresh, tasty and organic 😍 Lovely! Rina was making my stay much nicer with her special treatment and smile. This hotel is a true gem, offering an unforgettable experience. Perfect honeymoon

This was our favourite 3 nights of our whole 6 week honeymoon. Shunyata is perfect. They’ve built one of the most relaxing environments I’ve ever visited. The private pool was a joy, the staff so warm, welcoming and friendly. They brought out breakfast to the room every morning and it was always fantastic, everything freshly made and delicious. Their chef is amazing and every lunch and dinner was amazing. Had the steak twice because it was so excellent. Dreamiest place you could ever spend a honeymoon. Will definitely be back.

Great views. Virgin beach nearby. Amazing for relaxation. Clean rooms and prompt room service.

Food was terrible. Dinner was okay but a la carte menu disappointing. Breakfast almost unedible. Restaurant closes at 10 pm so if you are jet lagged and are staying up make sure you bring snacks, nothing is open close by.

There is no TV in the villa which was ok for us but might be a problem for others. Hot water ran out on our last day.

Great and healthy breakfast, served in the villa. Beautiful green surroundings, views at the ocean. Food is of the healthy and sustainable type, very appropriate for detox and of great quality and choice. Best place to stay put, relax and recover from life's stresses.

A bit far from the usual touristic attractions, Ubud, Denpasar. Spent quite a lot on transport going anywhere. No beach, have to go elsewhere for swimming, snorkling, diving.

This is an amazing property with incredible design and beauty in every direction. The staff are very attentive and seem to operate as a close knit family, even though they are not blood relatives. The views are spectacular; the rooms are top notch and comfortable. The food is prepared fresh each meal with love.

If you are looking to be busy with tours, etc. every day, this may not be your place as it is in a remote location. If you are looking for deep rest, comfort, beauty, and to be taken care of, look no further. We had already done our touring around Bali before we arrived here for our last 5 days of our vacation. It was a perfect way to end the trip!
