Highly recommend, would definitely come back to Myrto!

Alex was the best host! Very happy to help out and have a chat. The breakfast was great with fresh home made goodies, and eating out on the deck was amazing. Location was fantastic- close to everything and a short stroll down to the beach.

Not much to bad to say, only that the shower didn’t quite work, and the lady on reception could work on a smile 😀

I had an exceptional stay.

Perfectly located a few yards from the beach and shops. The room was a good size and the bed comfy. The bathroom was good with a fabulous shower. Alex and his team were exceptional.

Great Hotel, perfect location, steps to the beach.

The breakfast was ready at exactly 8:30 am and was delicious. Fresh fruits, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bacon on toast (my favorite), and so much more. Don't get me started on the Greek Coffee! So good. The hotel was perfect. Marble tile floors throughout the property. The rooms were beautiful and spotless. Every day when we returned from breakfast, our rooms were already cleaned, which normally wouldn't be until late in the afternoon at other hotels I've visited. Swimming pools are extremely rare on the island, but who needs that when you have an amazing beach literally steps from your hotel. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. But the detail that blew my mind was Alex, the owner of the hotel, who picked us up personally from the ferry. (Which we missed the first ferry (our fault), and was still picked up by Alex) The attention he gave us didn't stop there. Whenever we were lounging on the hotel patio he would stop and visit with us telling stories making us laugh and adding so much to our experience. You really felt the love he has for his craft.

Not good price for the quality offered Very expensive. Poor breakfast , small room. Views are ok but not the best from a room with views. Owner were very nice when I expressed my dissastifaction.

Perfect stay, central and close to everything, walkable to beaches. Hospitality plus!

Alex and his family provide an excellent experience from their hospitality to the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms and property. The simple breakfast was a great start to the day, offering something for everyone.

Nothing really, except the aircon could have been a little cooler, that’s all.

Exceptional Stay at Myrto Hotel

My stay at Myrto Hotel was exceptional. The location, just a short walk away from the gorgeous Ammos beach and the adorable town, is perfect. The hotel owners are so friendly and engaging, and upon arrival, they provide a website with helpful recommendations about everything you will need or want to know about the island. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and featured an amazing view. The breakfast served each morning exceeded my expectations with a generous spread of fresh fruit, yogurt with an array of toppings, eggs, pastries, beverages, and more. I highly recommend staying at Myrto Hotel and will do so myself when I return to the Island!

Outstanding location, service, and amenities in Koufonisi.

Any note about the hotel starts with the two people who make up the heart and soul of the place -- Alexis and Myrto. They are both incredibly friendly, accommodating, professional and made the stay extra special. The hotel is located at a prime spot, close to the port, one of the town's main beaches, and all of the great restaurants and shops. The included breakfast has something for everyone and goes until late -- for those of us wishing to have a lazy morning. Plus, the view from the patio where breakfast is served, is a thing of beauty. Even though the hotel is only minutes away from the port, having the complimentary shuttle is a great perk if you don't want to drag your suitcases in the heat.

This isn't a dig on the hotel itself. Rather, the design sensibilities in Greece (and much of Europe) involves having showers without shower curtains. So, you have an open shower with a quarter pane of glass and, inevitably, you spray the whole room every time you take a shower. There must be a better way.

Terrible experience, poor accomodation and breakfast, not worth what they are charging, awkward bully of an owner

Close to the beach

We were very disappointed with the accommodation and felt it did not reflect the photos online. There are no images online to show you have a building going up in front of the hotel and rubble and rubbish around the building. Whilst the room was neat, the sink in the bathroom was leaking water, the bathroom was very old, and the 2 options of the rooms that was provided were not what we felt we were sold online and felt much smaller than they were made out in the photos, along side the previously mentioned issue with a poor outlook. The owner also made us feel very uncomfortable, one example was when asked for additionally coat hangers he replied that we couldn’t have any more because we would steal them (his crappy plastic coat hangers). The buffet breakfast was one of the worst we have ever seen and it honestly turned our stomachs to look at. We left without eating and started looking straight away for alternative accommodation for the rest of our stay in Koufonisia. After moving to alternative accommodation (with no refund) we sat down to explain why we left and he proceeded to lecture us by disagreeing with any of our feedback and tell us we were wrong on every point. He laughingly even claimed his breakfast had won tourism awards…He is not a good reflection of the island as everyone else we met was lovely.

Perfection

A perfect place to stay on the most idyllic island. Alexis and his team are perfect hosts and run a near perfect hotel. A great base to explore the beaches and the wonderful little village that has a quite extraordinary amount of options for such a small place. Cannot wait to be back!

Superb

Ideally situated close to the port and the beach, the room was spacious, very clean, with comfortable beds, a nice patio and all amenities provided. The owner and staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time, only wish we could have stayed longer (and had a slightly better view from the apt).

Great quality hotel, Very comfortable beds, fluffy towels, spotlessly clean, well appointed, coffee machine. Very nice and helpful owner, who met us at the port and carried our luggage by car, although the port was only a five minute walk away. Fantastic location, near everything. Although there was no breakfast as such, only coffee and cookies, there is a great cafe next door that serves everything you'd want for breakfast. We'll definitely stay here again.
