Enjoyable

Staff were really friendly and could not have been more helpful. Room was immaculate. Very close to seafront and town centre.

Very noisy students throughout the night in adjacent properties. Not the fault of the hotel.

A nice room and location great for a two night stay

On arrival the staff member was very helpful. My husband and I had a comfortable clean room, with a very small compact bathroom, but good for what we needed. Bed very comfortable. My father’s room was upgraded before arrival and it met his needs. He had a bigger room and bathroom. Nice touch of having bathrobes and lovely white towels. Tea and coffee facilities were great and plenty of choice, which was replenished the following day. The hotel was near the sea front and castle, great for walking to the town and along the promenade. Parking spaces outside which was very convenient.

The first night was very noisy due to the loud music and singing coming from the pub underneath. Ear plugs bought to use for the second night, but the music ended earlier than the previous night.

Comfy beds good shower great hotel but a bit pricey for just 3 nights… it’s a fair walk to shops and pubs etc but I didn’t have an issue, overall loved my stay👍🏻

Air conditioning would have made it a lovely stay I’m sure.

Rooms newly refurbished to a high standard.

No air conditioning - had to leave the window open as attic room was hot. Ended up having to listen to the seagulls arguing over a bag of rubbish for most of the night. Bathroom also very small.

Nice but noisy a simple

The room was nicely appointed and very large didn’t look tired either.

Guests upstairs were bang doors to close them or didn’t know how to . The floor was very noisy from above. The room was very warm with no fan as described it was a fan heater. Had to open the windows instead . Which would normally be fine. But the pub downstairs was very noisy till late. The street outside was also very noisy with cars speeding down it and drunks messing about.

The lady who checked us in was pleasant and friendly.

More Hostel than Hotel. A few rooms above a student pub in a run down part of town At half the price it might have been about right. We make over 30 hotel stays per year and this was way over priced. So disappointed we paid up and drove 3 hours home rather than stay here.

Good location, but quite noisy

Because I was charged for two rooms, when I only actually booked one, I did explain at booking in about an issue with one of cards, but they still took two payments and as yet have not refunded

Overpriced, Noisy, and they don’t care, they just want your money

The room was comfortable enough and not a bad location

NOISE! We booked a hotel for a nice night away to see an event at the arts centre, and specifically didn’t want to stay in a pub, hence choosing what we thought would be a good hotel. Turns out we ended up in a pub that stayed open late. When we checked in we were told the bar would close at 23:00. At 01:00 the music eventually stopped but the noise all evening from drunk punters smoking and drinking right outside our window was unbearable. On top of this we have tried to contact the hotel management several times but have failed. I would absolutely not stay here again, it’s far too expensive for what it is and they clearly don’t care about their customers. Save your time and money and stay at a premier inn. I’m all for spending money locally but this has put us right off and is a disgrace

We went to with my family. No reception anybody ,we are are waiting long time outside. My wife and child upset. we booked 2 days but we tried return same day. we stayed one night. It was not front of beach and not see beach from the room. i am totally not happy and request return my money one night. we tried lots of time to leave in the morning but no staff until 9am. Please give me procedure i will complain them.

Pleasant stay

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly.

The noise from the room above was annoying every time someone moved. It echoed through the room. The shower wasn't great. More water was leaking from the taps than the actual shower head.

Great location, a stones throw away from the sea. The room was very clean and spacious. We had everything that was needed for few nights stay. The bathrobes were a nice touch.

The fact that the bedrooms were clean and thr bed was comfy.

The shower only dribbled, couldn't adjust the force of the water either. Place smelt musty and on walking in to the pub, place smelt like wet dog.

Lovely room in an excellent location close to the town centre and the sea

Rooms are obviously recently refurbished, large and well furnished with lovely bathroom. Room 2 is the best with a sea view and window seat. We considered going out for breakfast but decided to take their in room breakfast option which was amazing value, beautifully presented and very generous - not to be missed!

Entrance was rather off putting - no obvious entry point and you walk into a large (& empty at 4pm) bar. Was concerned that the rooms might be a little run down but this was not an issue at all

Pleasant

It's very central, two mins walk from the beach and close to bars and restaurants. There is no formal parking, but we had no problem finding on-street parking for free.

There was no reception desk. The bar acts as reception. When we arrived mid afternoon all the doors were locked. We knocked and a very nice chap opened up for us. It was more like a guesthouse than a hotel
