Shishangeni Lodge In Kruger National Park

The location on the dam was absolutely stunning and being in the private concession was just amazing - truly a special place! And Steven! Steven is such a beautiful soul!

I feel like there could be some basic lodge improvements - toilet roll holders in the general bathrooms, fixes to the fire place and bath in the rooms. The staff are incredible and do the absolute best they can with what they have - but I think top management needs to get involved and put some money in for upgrades. Also - we assume the staff are instructed to make us sign for the drinks bill after every day - it removes the “high end” experience and really makes it feel like they’re just after money - after spending a huge amount to be there, I feel like this should only be brought up at check out.

Incredible stay. I went for all inclusive which included 2 game drives per day and 3 meals. The game drives were excellent, and the meals were faultless. I had requested halal food before arriving and they provided halal meat specifically for me.

Location was wonderful, high density of game especially the cats and antelope, elephants and amphibians The food was great. The rangers and game drives were outstanding especially the sunset drives and sundowners. The room was fine, airy and sunny

The height of the basin, just that much too high to cause discomfort. Should supply a small step to help. The volume of the rangers' radios was too loud, they should consider using ear pods to reduce the sound. Wifi should be available in each room, not just the main lodge building.

Cool tent experience with outdoor showers and lucky with lion sightings. Really nice guide, Winnie.

They kept us waiting for over an hour to leave (need transport between tents and reception) despite telling them we had early start to next Lodge. Some of the facilities felt a bit dated and WiFi was terrible too vs other places we stayed.
