Good clean property with freindly hosts but quite pricy

The hosts were friendly when we checked in and the process was seamless. Location is good and easy to find. Lovely house with nice pool area and safe parking is available. Room 1 also has access to a nice outdoor area where one can sit but there is no view.

We travel a lot and sleep in many hotels and guesthouses. Room 1 is quite small for the price you pay. One can get a much bigger room for that price. It seems as if it was a single room that was turned into a double room. There is also no aircon in the room with only a fan available and no window in the bathroom although the bathroom is very modern. Once again, for the price we paid, the aircon at least should be standard. You have to drive to the town area as it is too far to walk.

I have no dislikes at all ! Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating. If I had to complain about 1 thing it would be no Nescafe instant coffee. Yes a very stupid complaint but I did miss the instant cup of coffee when I woke up, as plunger, for me, is a bit harsh on my stomach.

Wonderful guesthouse with beautiful, clean, modern rooms and a spacious balcony. We didn’t use the pool but the outdoor area was lovely. Breakfast was great and Gerry and Tanja were super friendly and kind hosts. Short walk into Hermanus or to the New Harbour.

the entire house is beautifully decorated, clean and the gardens are kept neat. the rooms are bright and comfortable, beds a little too hard for my preference bathrooms are fairly big, shower pressure good and the inclusive breakfast was tasty host and staff were friendly

An excellent stay at a great guesthouse, wonderful hosts and superb location!

We stayed here as part of our Honeymoon for three nights. We arrived far earlier than we should have done due to the time of our transfers however out host couldn't do enough for us upon our arrival. We got a free room upgrade (quieter time of year when we went). The room itself was clean and comfortable and well sized with a good sized terrace outside. Beds were comfy and the TV had streaming services (not that we watched any). There was a swimming pool and hot tub at the villa as well but as it was winter when we went, we did not use these! The breakfasts included were immense. Whilst we normally eat smallish breakfasts, every day we ended up with a three course breakfast which could quite easily keep someone going all day. Whilst there was a menu on what to pick, Marcelle cooked us up something special each day as well. The hosts genuinely couldn't do more for us, they were always very pleasant and chatty, gave us advice on the local area, bought us coffee and cake in the evenings and even provided extra lights and lamps during load shedding. They didn't even mind us checking us out slightly late due to a last minute whale watching trip. The location was great as well, being about half way between the harbor and the the town, (about 10 minutes in either direction) and the coastal path is a 2 minute walk from the guesthouse. Would genuinely recommend this place to anyone going to the area!

The room was very comfortable with a veranda leading into a beautiful garden . Breakfast was very enjoyable with a good spread . Marcelle was a good host and made us feel at home , enjoyed her chats in the mornings !

Our stay at Villa Venusta was outstanding. It is a total gem which we don't want anyone else to know about! Marcelle is an amazing host and we rapidly became firm friends. She cares deeply about the property and has put a lot of work into it: maintaining its original character whist adding wonderful modern touches like a fabulous pool and hot tub. Of particular note is Marcelle's IT background which ensures that even with load shedding the internet doesn't miss a beat. This makes the guest-house an ideal base for remote working. And when you've finished your call, the unbelievably beautiful cliff walk into wonderful Hermanus is less than 5 mins away. We actually changed our itinerary to stay longer because we loved it so much. Rooms charming, clean and comfortable, and breakfast far too nice to maintain a waistline. We will definitely be back and. cannot recommend the place highly enough. Dave & Kate

This guesthouse feels like home! Proprty is exceptionally clean and tastefully designed. Quiet private location right on the cliff walk, just 10min walk to the city center with all the restaurants and shops. Delicious breakfast. Marcelle and Andrew are wonderful hosts and very sociable. I would love to visit again !
