If you want a farm feeling and quiet environment and just a few steps away is the Shuhe Ancient Town, then you will love this place. It has a different vibe from a normal hotel

The only thing I don’t like is bringing in your luggage in during check in and check out. You need to walk at least 150m to the hotel which is well hidden. They try to elevate the difficulty by providing a cart to collect or send your luggage to the entrance of the Shuhe Ancient Town Northgate. Which is a good thing. Make sure you inform them in advance you are coming. The other thing is the taxi is not willing to get closer to the Northgate due to small place for cars to turn around. You may be required to walk about 50m to a junction where they will be willing to pick you up.

A lovely, restful sanctuary tucked away in a small alley just off the main street. We stayed here at the tail-end of our trip to Yunnan and it was the perfect place to unwind. Kids really enjoyed hunting for 4-5 leaf clovers and watching the resident cats and squirrels. Food was comforting and fresh (loved the homemade banana bread) and the staff was brilliant, from the initial online communication and all the way to the minute we farewelled them.

Great location within Shuhe Old Town. Comfortable room - the two double beds could sleep four people comfortably but there's also a sofa bed if you need more space. Ample charging points and places to put stuff in the very spacious bathroom. Nice additional touches by the host - lip balm and Singapore Kaya (a coconut egg jam). Staff also speak English.

A great place, located in a quiet and peaceful area in Shuhe ancient town. It occupies a historic property comprised of beautifully renovated, authentic houses. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, especially to children, who can pet the cat, read the available children's books, or watch a children's DVD in the mezzanine near the entrance, while the parents can enjoy various varieties of locally brewed beer. We appreciated having our evening meals and relaxing in the hotel dining room after a day of intense sightseeing. We also appreciated the staff's helpfulness upon arrival; they met us at the entrance of the Shuhe ancient town and carried our luggage, as well as their availability very early in the morning the day of our departure. We truly felt at home!
