Elegant, curated and exceptionally executed.

Beautiful spacious accommodation, excellent à la carte breakfast, friendly helpful staff and owner. Pool temperature perfect for morning swims and great to experience a working small vineyard. The three bottles of complimentary wine only added to the enjoyment.

A gloriously peaceful and quiet hideaway.

I stayed at Aaldering for five days whist I was attending a workshop just outside Stellenbosch. I wanted to stay somewhere quiet and cosy and it looked perfect. The staff were absolutely delightful and Jacqueline is the perfect hostess. I was sick with the flu and her care and thoughtfulness were so greatly appreciated. The cottage was perfect for my needs and the sunsets and view are out of this world. Sitting quietly on the patio, listening to the birds at sundown was heavenly. I would love to visit again with my husband in the summer to enjoy the magnificent pool and the peacefulness.

The weather was quite fresh for two days and I found the tiled floor a bit chilly. It would have been lovely to have the fire going, but I was not comfortable making an open fire indoors with the thatch roof. If assistance was offered I would have been delighted! I had to leave early every day and breakfast begins at 8am so I sadly didn't have the time to fully enjoy what was on offer which sounded delicious. Fortunately Jacqueline told me about a shortcut and provided me with a remote for the gate on a private road which allowed me to miss the traffic! Not only was it quicker, but it was a beautiful and stress-free drive; the perfect way to begin the day.

Jacqueline, Gert, Marilyn and all the staff were lovely and nothing was too much effort. The lodge is spectacular and the views over the pool are just stunning. Breakfast is a feast and their wines are excellent !

Absolutely perfect for a weekend away from Cape Town! The owner, Jacqueline, was present and very friendly and helpful. Suite was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Beautiful views and a huge pool - great for anyone who wants to do laps. Breakfast was also excellent and plentiful - lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, large selection of breads, eggs & bacon, fresh orange juice and coffee. The complimentary wines - 3 bottles (2 white and 1 red) - were also very enjoyable, particularly sitting out on the patio watching the sun set over the beautiful valley. Great proximity to Stellenbosch and all its amenities. Staff were lovely, security good and visible.

Best wine estate stay in the area

The owner greeted us with a wine tasting, and a lovely chat. All the lodges are amazing in size and all have a beautiful view. The pool is of nice size, with also the beautiful view. It is close to Stellenbosch (Uber was 70 rand to city centre, but would recommend to support the local taxis). The breakfast is the biggest we had during our whole trip, with actually fresh orange juice. You get several different pillows in the room, and it was very clean and quiet.

Superb Lodge with everything you need

It is just a perfect stay near Stellenbosch.Fantastic view, perfect sunsets. Own big terrace, 26m pool. Its is not just a room, it is an apartment! The host foes everything you stay confortable and happy. The price is high but worth every cent!

Great stay - wish it was longer

I was really pleased with my stay at Aaldering. I liked that it was a rather small property, and the owner and staff were very personable. The room was massive, and the pool was lovely. Also enjoyed the wine quite a bit.

Das Weingut liegt wunderschön auf einer Anhöhe mit traumhaften Ausblick auf die Berge. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt und es wurde an alles gedacht. Traumhaftes Frühstück- besser geht es nicht :-) Jacqueline hat uns verwöhnt (u.a. mit eigenem Wein) und mit sehr vielen Tipps unterstützt. Wir hätten uns keine bessere Unterkunft als Abschluss unserer Südafrikareise wünschen können und sind nur schweren Herzens nach Deutschland zurückgeflogen. Lieben Dank für alles und den wunderschönen Bildband, den wir als Abschiedsgeschenk erhalten haben.

Wunderschöne familiär geführte Lodge mit toller Aussicht

Die Aaldering Lodge ist ein charmantes, familiär geführtes kleines Refugium, das mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet ist. Jacqueline, die Besitzerin ist zuvorkommend und unglaublich sympathisch und macht alles damit die Gäste sich wohl fühlen. Unsere Suite war sehr komfortabel, großzügig und makellos sauber. Die Weine von Aaldering super lecker. Bei unserem nächsten SA reise kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

Die Lodge ist traumhaft gelegen. Mit Blick auf die Weinberge. Super ausgestattet, harmonisch abgestimmt und sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Personal. Zur Begrüßung gab es auch Weinflaschen auf dem Zimmer inclusive. Auch ein Weintasting war inbegriffen. Sehr guter Wein. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und bemüht einen jeden Wunsch von den Augen abzulesen. Viele wertvolle Tips bekommen. Ein Frühstück welches sehr lecker, frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet war!

Rundum ein Traum...;-)

Wir hatten leider nur zwei wundervolle Nächte auf diesem charmanten Weingut 10 Km von Stellenbosch entfernt. Per Uber ist die Stadt für 80 Rand in 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Hotel bietet nicht nur eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf die Weinberge, sondern auch ein exquisites Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offenlässt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der wunderschöne Pool, der zum Entspannen und Genießen der südafrikanischen Sonne einlädt. Der Service war hervorragend – wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und können dieses Hotel (und natürlich die Weine) jedem nur empfehlen! Wir werden sicherlich bald wiederkommen;-)
