Schiffsherberge Pöppelmann

I booked Schiffsherberge Pöppelmann because I was looking for a unique experience, and it certainly delivered. I arrived early in the morning, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, even providing me with my room key well before the normal check-in time. The entire property, including the rooms and restrooms, was very clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful, and staying on a historic ship was something completely different from a standard hotel stay. Overall, it was an interesting and memorable experience. While it may not offer all the comforts of a traditional hotel, it provides great value for travelers looking for something unique and affordable.

Honestly, there wasn't anything wrong with the property itself. My only disappointment came from my own expectations, as I booked it assuming it would be similar to a standard U.S. hotel room. I didn't realize that the room did not have air conditioning or a private attached restroom, but the shared restrooms and showers were very clean and there were plenty of them available, so it was never an issue finding one when needed.

Love the location, the ambiance, and the sound of wildlife even though you're in the city. I will book again when I have a longer stay!

Nothing to not like.

It 's a nice experience to stay in a hostel like that. Certainly not something very common. The people at the reception were kind and helpful and the shared bathrooms were always clean. We enjoyed the walk by the river to the city center

We were in Dresden in a hot day and the temperature inside the room was really high. The fan couldn't do much. We had no wifi in our room even if it was mentioned in facilities
