Sables d'Or Luxury Apartments

Modern (recently renovated) building and an apartment. With beautiful mountain view and a lot of light. The apartment has private part of the beach on front and provides the sun beds and even beach towels

- maybe is missing the coffee machine even in the main building

The only thing that we were disappointed about was that we didn’t stay more than one night. You are steps from Beau Vallon beach which is where you want to be, especially if it’s a first time visiting Mahé. Great swimming, boating, sunsets, restaurants (we really enjoyed Boat House and Beach Shak). We choose the Mountain view apartment and loved seeing the lush green hillside - quintessential Seychelles. If we are back in Mahé, we would most likely try to book here again and for longer!

Nothing to improve

Very spacious, very comfortable apartment. Located right on a beautiful beach.

There seemed to be an unnecessary emphasis in pre-arrival emails, and in the information booklet within the property about additional excess charges, e.g. emails seeking a substantial excess for access to the accommodation 2hrs prior to the quoted check in time. Strongly worded messages in the information booklet within the property regarding significant excess cleaning fees if the kitchen wasn't tidy, or there was sand on the floor. etc. Maybe it was a language thing, but it didn't come across as very welcoming. We only stayed for 2 nights and didn't use the dishwasher. However, if you wanted a tab for the dishwasher, there was an additional charge for that. The accommodation is not cheap, and it would have seemed far more welcoming to provide a couple of dishwasher tabs for guests. We arrived early, before the quoted check in time, and were happy to wait for the room to be ready. We said we would go for a walk along the beach etc. However, when we asked for the internet password, so that we could check messages, let people know we had arrived safely etc, we were told we would get only get access to the internet once we were in our room. This seemed rather petty and unhelpful. It would have cost nothing for us to be provided with the internet password prior to getting into the room. Overall a good stay, in lovely accommodation, right on a beautiful beach ....but a few small factors that made it slightly less welcoming than it could have been.
