The Maji Beach Boutique Hotel -Adults Only

The Maji is hands down my favorite hotel in Diani. The hotel is located on a beautiful part of Diani with very easy access to the ocean. We spent most of our days just relaxing on the cabanas that were directly in front of the beach. The staff were great. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure guests had a great experience. My favorite part of the hotel was the flexibility they offer. I loved that breakfast could be ordered at any time directly off of the menu which makes the experience more enjoyable. If you're looking for a hotel in Diani, I would absolutely recommend staying at The Maji.

We had the most wonderful six nights at the Maji after a week on safari, and it was phenomenal from top to bottom. It was my first time coming to a small boutique beachfront property and the relaxed vibes, privacy, and personalised service were such a treat. The luxurious waterfront cabanas are spacious and comfortable (with no pushing for beach beds like at larger hotels!), the food was insanely good (we were on half board but the enormous breakfast and three course dinner were more than enough!), and the balcony from our room (room 6) was the best for reading and relaxing. This place manages to be so chic and tastefully decorated while being extremely low key and never stuffy: you can’t help but be completely zoned out from reality while here enjoying the hospitality. Massive shoutout to Jackson, Duncan, Caroline and Zippy for taking such good care of us throughout our trip. From kindly posting our postcards to arranging our airport transfers to exchanging our cash for shillings, nothing was too much for the team. Would come back in a heartbeat and will remember this haven of bliss and relaxation for a long time.

Everything was truly amazing and we are so so grateful to have experienced the Maji’s hospitality throughout. If I had to suggest improvements, they would be: - more frequent afternoon beachside table service for drinks etc, staff were a little hard to find by the afternoon - more updated gym facilities, the treadmill wasn’t working and the equipment was basic and dated - not their fault, but the hassle of the beach boys on the beach grew tiresome, as did the loud music from the beachside restaurant next door But nothing in comparison to how perfect everything about our stay truly was!!

The Hotel is very beautiful and the staff were amazing.

The food/kitchen service - I got burnt prawns and when I sent it back to the kitchen I got extremely oily ones as a replacement. For breakfast I got sausages that were not fresh. I also asked them to pack breakfast the day I checked out and they left out half the stuff I requested. Overall disappointed with the quali ty from the kitchen.
