Shin Shin Hotel Jeju Ocean

This was like a cozy and cute studio apartment! The only thing that would have made it complete was a stove and a microwave but there was a washing machine and a full-sized fridge - a breath of fresh air compared to the mini fridges in other hotels I stayed in across Korea. It rained a lot during my stay but this was a relaxation and rejuvenation leg of my trip so it made my stay even more comfy. There is a 7-Eleven connected to the lobby area so I didn't have to step outside for food or snacks when it was raining. The breakfast was the most impressive part of it all, as it was a hearty meal that kept me full for the entire day. It was very tasty.

They required you to throw used tissues in a bin instead of flushing, which I found very icky. I know it's common in public restrooms and I'm not faulting the hotel but I just did not expect that in a hotel room. Also, the shower leaked even though there was a closed door.

Huge room for 4 people, with a nice view of Seogwipo city. Just a short walk away were the local markets and plenty of amazing food options in the heart of Seogwipo. Very clean, spacious and very comfortable to stay in. The staff were lovely and even helped us bring our food delivery straight to our door. They do speak some English but we mostly used a translation device and had no issues. Washing machine, refrigerator, freezer and hairdryer were provided. There were plenty of free private parking spots in the hotel basement.

The bathroom has a strange setup. The shower and toilets are in their own stalls while the sink and mirror are located on the side of the entrance. This meant that it was hard to get changed when showering since the shower stall only just had enough space to shower and there was nowhere to hang your clothes other than outside near the sink. Staff sometimes forgot to provide the correct number of towels, or mugs but we simply requested it in the morning and it was resolved.

Great location and great staff! There is a bus station outside the hotel, the town in walking distance too. The room was really spacious with lots of storage. They also gave me a free upgrade, which was so sweet of them!

It's not something I disliked exactly, but I stayed for 6 days and my room wasn't cleaned during my stay, I got a little sandy because I went to the beach. They did provide fresh towels and complimentary water every day at my door, though!

Location was great. Our room was huge! In-room eashing machine was a plus.

Entire apartment was dusty and needs a good cleaning! Breakfast wasn't good. Area where food were placed aren't 100% clean. I asked for a fork and was pointed to a container. Fork was sticky and inside the container appeared to be a milk residue.
