Super host Catherine. Clean, cozy and well equipped apartment. Big garden. Worth the money.

We (4 people) stayed for 1 night during our road trip. The host Catherine kindly reserved a free parking space for us and met us there with the keys. The two-room apartment was a pleasant surprise – spotlessly clean and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. Guests have access to a well-maintained private garden with turtles. As a bonus, Catherine brought fresh croissants and baguettes at 7 AM as a gift, which was a lovely touch. Summary: Both the apartment and host Catherine left the best impression – highly recommend!"

Great place. Great communication

We had all three apartments in the building - the 2 bedroom was very spacious for our family of 6. The wonderful breakfast baskets delivered in the morning was a great addition to our morning. They were still warm when we received them. Owner was so lovely and nice- communication was great and speedy. We made our way to eiffle tower and the bus stop was right across the street. I was a bit anxious about the bus and train trips there but it was actually very easy! We bought a €12 navigo unlimited day pass on our phones which we validated each time. I highley recommend staying here. Oh also there are turtles in the backyard! The little kids loved seeing a new one pop up every day.

The sofa bed wasn’t as comfy but still ok for a few nights rest.

The hostess was very welcoming, the property was well setup in terms of amenities and quite comfortable for a family. Having parking was a plus.

The WiFi signal was rather weak, which made it impossible to utilise.

The property was right in front of bus line 108/110 which made it easy to travel to Paris.

There’s not much we didn’t like. We felt bad walking up the stairs at 2am since they’re a bit loud, but there’s not much that can be done about that.

Disappointing

Lovely garden with cherry tree and tortoises. Space to sit and feel like you've escaped the city. Lovely breakfast of croissants and fresh bread delivered, jams and milk included. GF options made available, too. Lots of tea and coffee are available. Well- equipped kitchen. Have maximised space well, but this has created an odd layout with shower next to kitchen, then a need to walk around island to get to toilet. Clean bedding, pillows, and mattress. Toilet and storage cupboard looks recently updated. The owner seems very friendly (on the phone).

Area did not feel very safe and noisy bar 2 doors down (although we were visiting over a public holiday...) Owner away in Guadeloupe (awaiting phone bill!) And had to call her to be let in. No person to greet us as specified. No arrival or entry instructions given, we were left waiting outside for approx 20 mins. Simple message could have sufficed with key code and instructions. Strange smell in corridor, decor left from Easter and Christmas. For some, it may add to the " homely feel," but it made the entry to the building feel uncared for and cluttered. Garden was great but cluttered, untidy, and poorly maintained . The front garden also looked untidy and unkempt. Building work outside of house (which can not be helped), however the bar 2 doors down has adopted the space that used to be parking spaces and uses this for extra seating...which proved quite noisy! Apartment (bottom left) itself smelt of damp as soon as you enter. The main bedroom had damp behind bed, in both wardrobes and all over head board. Blinds ripped and full of holes. Little room to put suitcases as we did not want to put in inbuilt cupboards over bed. Handles on windows felt like they were going to fall off, and the shower floor and door were unclean. Signs of damp in lounge behind pull out bed, which was v old and thin mattress. Thankfully, my 4 yr old sleeps anywhere. All in all, it proved a very uncomfortable stay.

Catherine drove us to hospital around midnight and translated for us. We enjoyed our stay there.

Everything at Cote Marne is great, starting with our Host Catherine. She is an amazing and trustworthy person, We now consider her a true friend and wish we could have stayed longer. The house is wonderful and garden beautiful. Many places close to eat and buses outside apartment. Good place for a family to stay. She goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable.

Best host ever!

Good spacious apartment with everything you need. We were 3 adults and 3 children. Catherine is the best host ever, and her go to guy Malik, very helpful. We got fresh baguettes and croissants delivered outside the door every morning. Nice back yard. Close to supermarket, good pizza place and asian restaurant Comfy main beds

Location. Far from Paris city centre. With public transport (need to take Bus + RER + Metro) it takes 1 hour. We ended up taking Uber all the time. It took about 40-50 minutes due to Paris traffic (UberX around 30 euros, UberXL around 45 euros). The neighborhood is considered relatively safe, but not the nicest, we were unlucky and witnessed a fight on the street. The extra bed and the couch ok for children. But not for adults. Weak wifi in half the apartment A bit funny smell in the apartment

Really comfortable apartment, beautiful garden area to enjoy meals, nice location with heaps of shops nearby and easy access to Paris. Catharine is a very friendly and helpful host.

If driving, let Catharine know as Google maps is not updated for the metro construction works. No negative comments on the property otherwise.

wonderful French breakfasts - orange juice, baguette, butter, jam, freshly baked croissant - all this was brought early in the morning by the hospitable Christine in a basket. It was very touching.

Small Apartment

The location was as expected: somewhere in the middle between Dysneyland and Paris Center. The little garden was very nice. The owner had nice suggestions for how to get around Paris.

There were some points, we didn't expect: - door to the toilet is very low! if you are higher than 1.60cm you will need to tilt your head not to hit the edge. And if you are over 1.80cm you will not be able to stand straight inside the toilet room. - the extra bed for two (we have booked a place for 4 people) was a folding bed in the kitchen next to the rather loud refrigerator and under the window without dark curtains. We put kids there, it was tolerable, but for the adults who sleep a bit thiner - will not work at all. - also the second bed had dirty sheets (they were change on our request though, so no problem in the end). - the whole apartment was very small for 4 people. there was no place for luggage for all of us. I think it would be perfect for two though. - we got breakfast: 300ml Milk, 4 portions of butter and marmelade and two cornflackes individual packages (I think 24gr...) and fresh bread+croissants. It would be very nice, excpet it was the amount for ALL THREE DAYS. Except for bread and croissants (they were fresh daily) we had no refills. We are not the excessive coffee drinkers, otherwise coffee would be gone faster than 3 days as well. So keep in mind, you might need to go shoping to have enough for breakfast.

We were warmly welcomed by our host, Catherine who explained everything clearly and accommodated all our needs. We appreciated that their attractive garden was made available to us.

Very good

Katherine was so kind - she goes an extra mile for the guests. She provided us with free and very secure parking space and the following morning she brought us very yummy bread and croissants from a distant bakery. Unfortunately we missed her on check out.

The location seems unsafe but I can not confirm it's unsafety*. Also the bathroom requires renovation. The place was not so easy to find due to the new metro -steps away- which is under construction.

The main oven was not working so the owner gave us a portable one + a microwave, so it was fine. She even proposed to use her own oven!
