Breakfast was fantastic, and the lady who served is was a credit to The Plough.
Tap didn't work properly in the rooms basin, and there was only a rain shower in the bathroom, tended to spray/ splash water everywhere.
The tuile on the Orange Panacotta , should have been Pistachio, but only tasted burnt, not sure if this is correct, and not tried previously.

Multigenerational family business with friendly staff who made you feel very welcome.
Hard to get the room up to 20 degrees. It was very cold out but the radiator never really got hot.

Only issue is that last orders for food was at 8:30 pm. Thought that was a little too early.

Beautiful building, great location, delicious food, great staff
Was woken up v early by loud banging sounds not sure if it was a heating system or what. Would have been nice to have some more information in the room about the services available such as meal times & checkout ect

Absolutely fantastic stay, we stay in one of the shepard hut and it was so stunning, very clean, bed was so comfortable, log burner brilliant and make it so cosy, everything you needed was in the hut. We wanted for nothing. We even had pizza and chips for tea brought to us by a member of staff from the pub.. food was so nice and at great prices! The staff couldn't help you enough. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included and it was great the set up of it was spot on and the services was outstanding. We wanted to stay the next night it was that lovely but it was fully booked which we were guttered. 100% would stay again and highly recommend the plough by far the best pub and service in Hathersage.
Only thing that we had to report back was we went to have a shower & there was no pressure from the shower head ( hardly any water came out) so was unable to have a shower.

Friendly, welcoming staff and owners. Excellent service, probably best in the Peak. Family run business which appears to be able to retain good staff who, together with the owners, formed a professional and smooth running team.

I absolutely loved my little getaway at The Plough Inn, Hathersage. It’s easy to reach by public transport, a ten-minute walk from the station along the roadside path.
I received a warm, friendly welcome, and every interaction with the bar staff was genuinely pleasant. My shepherd’s hut was spotless, comfortable, and lovely and warm, perfect after a day exploring.
Breakfast was excellent — I went for the cooked option, which was tasty, filling and not at all greasy. Dinner in the evening was also good.
AROUND THE AREA.
I M braved the Hathersage outdoor swimming pool (a proud moment!) and enjoyed local walks along the river, stepping stones, and up to Hugger Tor, Stranger Ridge and Froggatt Edge and White Edge with amazing views. A truly peaceful, relaxing Peak District escape — I loved every minute.

Great location. Really cute shepherds hut; modern, clean and cosy. Pub food was exceptional. Delicious. And the staff were really friendly and helpful too.
Was fab, only minor thing was no sugar or wood for the burner in the but, but this was quickly sorted by helpful staff.

This is a wonderful place to stay, the pub and the accommodation were excellent. The accommodation is separate to the pub at the back across a lovely courtyard, so it is quiet on a night. It was spotlessly clean, facilities were excellent. There are also 3 or 4 'shepherds huts' in the grounds to stay in, which looked really cool. The pub is cosy, welcoming, the food is excellent and lovely staff. I arrived by train, the station at Hathersage is an easy 15 minute walk, scenery was stunning. Would stay here again.
Nothing, I thought it was marvellous.

Everything was lovely apart from the busy road outside, but there's not much they can do about that. Evening meal was excellent.

Lovely property and location. Courtyard outdoor space. Restaurant very good. Large level car park.
Breakfast for meat eaters, great but for vegetarians and vegans not really many cooked options. But this could be an easy fix with some veggie sausages or bacon?

Charming place with kind and helpful staff. Spacious room is separated from the bar and the restaurant so there is no noise. Food for dinner was delicious and reasonably priced, and the breakfast was also fabulous.
Spent just one night but would definitely come back again to explore Peak District.

The breakfast was good. The room was good and the bathroom was very much to our liking. The staff we dealt with were all helpful. We would certainly recommend it.
The TV did not work in our room. The evening meal we had was very good but was let down by not being as warm as we would have liked.

Breakfast was lovely. The only downside was they had the doors open and there were wasp flying around the uncovered food and breakfast. They could do with a wasp zapper or doors closed during meal times
Wasp and flies around the uncovered food
