Star Bar and Bungalows

The bungalow we rented was spread over two floors with two sleeping areas. The upper area, which had a balcony, was easily accessed via a small, steep staircase and contained several beds. There was another double bed on the ground floor, where the bathroom was also located. The rooms were large enough for several people. The bathroom was also spacious and comfortable! The complex is set back a little and can be described as quiet. The location is brilliant, as you only have to cross a small sandy path to find yourself right in the bar area with sun loungers right by the turquoise-blue ocean. Extremely convenient for divers, as there’s a very good dive centre, called TIPSEA TURTLE and run by a lovely Swedish woman, right next to the resort, and the dive boats are moored right in front of the beach. The breakfast at the resort is so-so! The best thing is the Lombok coffee. For your stay, it’s important to bring a thin tropical sleeping bag (with insect protection), as there are tiny creatures living in the beds and mattresses (including mites and other critters that you can easily spot in the dark under bright lighting). But overall, it was a relaxing stay that we really enjoyed. We’d love to come back.

There’s room for improvement when it comes to breakfast. You can get used to the little creatures in the mattresses if you’re properly equipped when travelling! Otherwise, everything was fine.

location was super, just infront of turtle point in the east of gili air, direct snorkeling infront of the hotel, breakfast is ok

soap and shampoo does not have labels, i did not know which one is which. some electric plug did not work properly

Great location for us and nice accommodation for the price.

We stayed in the big family bungalow. It was comfortable enough with good beds but not as described. There are two bedrooms separated by a set of stairs, but no door, and no living area. Beach towels and drinking water are available on request. Hot water in the showers.

The bar and pool area are run down. For the price of the family bungalow I expected more. Staff were quite pushy with the snorkelling tour etc.
