Palac Borynia is a really lovely hotel in a beautiful setting and I genuinely enjoyed my stay there. The suite was fantastic and huge with amazing air con, really comfortable and a great place to come back to after being out in the hot weather. I think the receptionist name was Dorota, and if I have got that right then she really deserves a special mention. She was easily the standout member of staff for me. Always smiling, always friendly and always asking how my day had been or if everything was okay with my stay. She was really accommodating, nothing seemed too much trouble and her English was excellent and was also helpful when she was on the bar/restaurant area.. It was just those little things that made me feel genuinely welcome rather than just another guest. The restaurant was also really good and very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and the setting. The fillet steak/beef tenderloin was absolutely amazing and easily the best thing I ate from the menu. I would happily order that again without even looking at the rest of the menu.
The one thing I really did find strange was how early everything closed. The restaurant closed at 20:30 and the bar at 21:00, which just feels very early when you are staying in a hotel. One night I ended up ordering three drinks at 21:00 just so I could take them back to my room 😂. There was no room service and no minibar either, so once the bar shut that was basically your evening done. Even keeping the bar open a bit later would make a big difference. Breakfast was probably the weakest part for me, although that is probably down to me being English. It was more of a traditional Polish breakfast with boiled eggs, cold meats and cheese. Nothing wrong with the quality at all, but I would have loved the option of a fried egg, bacon and some toast. Just a few simple hot options would have made it much better for me. I did find some of the other staff a bit more hit and miss. Nobody was rude, but a few were definitely more reserved and not quite as friendly in their approach. I probably noticed it more because Dorota was so warm and made such an effort. Overall though, I really liked Palac Borynia. It is a lovely place, the suite was brilliant, the restaurant was excellent value and the food was very good. A few longer opening hours in the evening and a little more consistency in how welcoming some of the staff are would make it even better.

Nice property in overall, well kept, in some 10 km off your main route. Very good restaurant and friendly service if you want to have a dinner there, especially something traditional, but we did not try other menu items. Breakfast was on par with other good hotels in Poland, which is on a bit higher level than anywhere else in Europe.
I booked not the economy room with a discount this time, but a superior one without any discounts. I got a room in front of the reception and unfortunately the total experience of my stay was disappointing despite clean and nice big room, and a good restaurant. I believe the hotel management must work on the noise insulation issues seriously or take care of noise management on the property in the evening hours. In my room I could hear everything of what was happening at the reception until late night, and it was a lot. Only after midnight when I complained, I got some silence until 7am or so. In my opinion, if I stay at the hotel and can't sleep well, nothing else matters.
