San Ignacio Resort Hotel was absolutely AMAZING — one of the best stays we’ve had. The property is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is genuinely warm and helpful. They were amazing in every way: friendly, attentive, and proactive without ever being pushy. Every time we had a question or needed anything, they handled it quickly and made us feel genuinely taken care of. Everything from check-in to the grounds to the overall service was top-notch.
The location was also PERFECT — easy walking distance to downtown and the market, which made it so convenient to explore.
We did have one small mistake during dinner one night, but what really stood out was how management handled it. They owned it immediately, apologized, and went above and beyond to make it right. That level of care says everything.
We stayed in the Royal Suite and LOVED it — spacious, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax after a full day of exploring.
Zero complaints. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Carmencita and Miss Perla at the front desk and Ulises at the bar were more than just accommodating, they went above and beyond to provide information and make sure we had everything we could possibly need!
Nothing!

Great garden behind, or rather below the hotel.
Light and airy
Good laundry service.
Good location to try all local restaurants
The leaf blowers, starting early.
A broom is far more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Food in restaurant was good, swimming pool was refreshing but not too cold, bed was comfortable
Heat in May in inland area is high, but cannot be controlled buy resort (A/C in room made it very comfortable)

Very clean and staff all very friendly and helpful. Pool area is great to relax after any trips, and food (we had breakfast and lunches) is very, very good. Short walk into town and the hill (slope!) is easily manageable!! Don’t believe anyone who says it isn’t unless you have genuine mobility issues.
Only 1 minor critique would be the Macal River Kayak is expensive for what it is USD 95 pp for 90 mins - the Tikal and Barton Creek trips were worth every penny (cent)

Very nice and charming hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
Both bar and restaurant are very good.
The bed was really comfortable, which is important to me.
The location is awesome, really strategic for trips to Xunantunich, Caracol, and the Green Hills Butterfly Reserve, all of which I would highly recommend visiting while there.
The Green Iguana Conservation Project is right on site, likewise highly recommended.
Belize is expensive, the hotel restaurant too. Breakfast is à la carte and not included, expect to spend some serious money here.
Apart from that, there’s nothing not to like, it’s an awesome hotel.

Great location for both walk into San Ignacio and local trips. Hotel staff very accommodating and did everything they could to make our stay smooth. Lovely restaurant overlooking jungle - great to see Toucans in the morning.
The room decor was a little tired and restaurant prices and drinks were expensive but possibly as Brits and pound so weak against dollar. Also nicest place in area so to be expected - but be prepared.

I think we had the best room in the place, suite 132, a corner balcony with jungle views. On the Trumpet tree outside our room we saw various birds, including motmots and toucans. Also saw a kinkajou one evening. Amazing staff who remember your names and cater to your every whim. Also got a tour of the on-site Green Iguana Sanctuary. It’s a very short walk into town. Also, it’s where Will and Kate stayed when they were here. And the queen too back in 1994.
Cannot think of a thing.

We stayed at the beach front house. The view from the main bedroom and living room was awesome. In general the apartment was nice, the main bedroom was spacious with a large comfortable bed, same with living room with dining area and kitchen included. The balcony had both a dining table, hammocks and resting chairs, perfect for breadfast and dinners. A/c in the main bedroom was brand new and worked great.
The secondary bedroom was tiny, dark, its a/c very noisy and was barely able to cool down the room. The person in the office wasn't very helpful when we needed something. She redirected us to an online chat to request laundry service but nobody ever showed up to pick our laundry.

We loved the atmosphere and room. The front desk staff are wonderful as were all the tour guides and their tours. Darwin is a great concierge and we enjoyed Maya fish cooking and natural remedies with Ivan, iguana visit with George, Maya ruins with Cruz, and cave tubing with Wilbur. The desk and restaurant staff are also wonderful. We were able to do every activity directly from the resort and our time at the resort was delightful. The room is spacious and comfortable with great AC when needed. The pool and grounds are wonderful.
Having to leave.

Loved the location, staff were very friendly, and the hotel restaurant exceeded my expectations. We did go into town to eat the local food but our hotels food was better. I'd come back and stay at same location.

Beautiful location, amazing staff. My family is gluten free and the kitchen staff went above and beyond to satisfy our needs. Would definitely recommend it to people with celiac disease and anyone else who wants a great location in the jungle.

I signed up my son, wife and I for a caving excursion through the hotel travel guide for $235 USD. Because of heavy rain in the area, the caving tour was cancelled by the guide service due to safety concerns. We were never credited back this money even though the receptionist at the check-in counter assured me before we left Belize that we would be given a credit on our credit card.

Superb hotel, The Best hotel in the area. Superb staff and service.
Pool could have been warmer. The prices at the restaurant should have been about 20% cheaper considering the prices in the area.

It was by far the nicest hotel in San Ignacio. The staff were excellent- friendly & helpful. Bed was extremely cozy, thick walls, good housekeeping. The on-site restaurant was very good, we enjoyed all our meals- while it was a little pricy compared to the rest of town, it was still cheaper than in the U.S.
We booked a couple excursions through the hotel and felt they were fairly priced for the value we received- we definitely had some of the best tour guides. However the prices for booking a shuttle through the hotel were way too high. You can absolutely find better deals for little effort in town.

Friendly staff. Also how easy it was to go on tours with their in-house tour company.
Nothing negative to say even if I tried. Any problems we encountered were speedily fixed by staff.

We were greeted in the lobby by friendly, helpful staff. After checking in, our luggage was whisked to our hotel room while one of the attendants gave us a quick tour of the facility and provided pool and restaurant hours.
Our hotel room was very pleasant. Large bathroom and lovely shower. Air conditioning worked great. Our spacious balcony looked out over the pool area and lushly landscaped grounds. Our king-size bed was very comfortable. The hotel set up an additional single bed for our daughter which gives you a sense of how large the room was.
The best part of our stay was watching all the birds, including a couple types of Toucans, every morning at breakfast. The restaurant balcony is three stories above ground level so we were nearly at the top of the tree canopy. What a perfect way to start out our busy sightseeing days!
Wifi was a bit weak in our room, especially for online streaming but that just helped us get straight to sleep after long days.
