DoubleTree by Hilton-Pune Chinchwad

It was a very pleasant experience overall - (1) courteous and helpful staff, (2) special attention by the restaurant to my requirements for Jain breakfast and dinner and (3) well-managed property.

I've stayed here many times, at least twice a year for a week or so each time. Overall a great hotel which is well appointed, clean & well situated for the places I routinely visit in Pune. Good food and clean comfortable rooms, and communal areas. Those in house keeping & security I met were excellent and seemed happy to be there, very friendly.

On this last visit I noticed the attitude and the attentiveness of the staff has reduced. Some staff seem unsmiling & reluctant to be engaged with guests on the front desk & in the dining areas. When dining you often have to find someone to ask for something rather than them coming to you. I also found the manager running level 12 quite rude as he ejected me out of the swimming pool well before the closing time (set on the signs next to the pool) when challenged he insisted the signs were incorrect & thus I missed my swim that day. The impression that the less engaged staff give is that they don't want to be there, perhaps they shouldn't be.

Swimming Pool water cold,

Dirty carpet in the hallway. Very depressing feeling. As soon as you open the curtains, slums and garbage all around. Surroundings were very depressing.
