If you don't mind that the room and corridor are run down, it is a nice place.
The room was big and comfortable, actually clean if you ignore all the scuffs and imperfections.
Good location (though about 10 minutes walk to the night market which felt a bit dark at night but overall okay).
And wow the building, it's such an experience!
Good and varied breakfast.
Helpful staff with good English.
For the price, the overall experience was adequate.
Btw found amazing street food nearby:
1) go out left, if you can cross the road (not for the faint hearted, I almost cried on the way back) to the parking lot of Fort V., there are a lot of options and I had great nasi bakar
2) go out to the right, second stall you find is mie jebew and It was divine! (Spicy - ask for less if you can't take it...)
As mentioned, old run down room.
The bath water didn't flow down that well, plumbing issue.
Bath very high step to get in and out, fine for me but elderly (or those with less mobility) might struggle.

This a very nicely done hotel. The lobby and common areas are beautiful. The staff are gracious especially the front desk ladies. They very helpful and accommodating.

location, personnel friendliness, parking garage, very quiet AC
room facing the front was noisy (road traffic), bathroom is dated, repairs appear to be not all done professionally, taste of breakfast was a bit bland, could use some more flavoring
