Perfect location in central Ringwood but other than that, only OK.
Breakfast was quite disappointing, I could get vegan sausages but the hash browns had egg in them, which for a potato based treat, could easily be without egg. Staff at breakfast were quite brusque and we had to wait outside past 8am for the doors to be opened for us and only after lots of banging on windows to be let in. It stated from 8am so people were ready as we all had busy days to head off to. Room was OK and clean but away from the main building which I wasn't aware of and being an older single female I did feel a little scared staying in and would rather have been in the main building.

Breakfast was good. Served well and promptly. We were asked if we wanted more coffee
The room wasn't very clean. Marks on the toilet!! Mirror covered in dust. Very hot water couldn't get under the shower because it burned you. Bar staff in the afternoon and evening had no idea what they were doing

The bar staff were affable when things went wrong
The room I was given had not been cleaned at all eg: the bed was dirty and unmade, there was a lot of rubbish and wet towels... The room signage said breakfast ended at 11am but when I went for it at 10am it had already finished. The pub was generally sticky and not well cared for (and neither were the guests!). A housekeeper tried to enter my room at 10am even though check out was 11am. The manager was a tad defensive when I raise these issues on check out and there was certainly no offer of any form of compensation for my bad experience (not even a drink whilst they sorted out my room after I'd found it uncleaned). All in all very poorly managed.

Staff were fantastic. Food also great! We had lunch there, dinner, highly recommend the grilled chicken salad! The pub itself is huge, friendly atmosphere and great location.
The price for the room is very, considering its size. Pretty much a matchbox to manoeuvre around and we’re little people. Location is great if you are headed to the airport or London, but nothing much else!

The room itself was ok, though there was black mould around the window frame, the towel rail in the bathroom didn't work, the shower head water jets were mostly blocked with limescale. I was surprised to see that particular design being used, as it's not easy to clean and/or maintain, and there are better low cost alternatives. The staff were pleasant, though there seemed to be low morale. The Original White Hart used to be the hub of the town, now the doors are closed by 10pm. The place was dead. Perfect weather for an open fire, but instead a fake tacky glow heater is in the fire place. It could be a carbon footprint issue, the abandonment of the open fire, but it's a feature that draws people in, and it doesn't need to be high cost if it's managed properly. The draught products tasted awful. I had to send one of the drinks back. The drinks were stale and that smell of poorly kept lines was the only aroma around the glass. Although the rooms were generally cleaned to a good standard, there were finger prints on the fire exit door near to my room, likely where people have exited from there over a period of time. They didn't arrive there overnight, it is a build up over months, possibly years. One TV was on playing Christmas tunes, but the TV is not linked to the sound system, is essentially you have a TV with poor sound quality trying to provide an atmosphere for I large sized area. I thought there appeared to be a lot of needless clutter around in the bar area. I could see the staff were trying their best, but quite honestly I'd question the strategic vision for the place. Where it could be the best, it's quite possibly the worst.

Bed comfortable room needed a good clean decor tired basic coffee facilities in room. The room was cheap so not to expect anything else. Staff great parking no issue . Food was basic presentation needs attention. Booking app for breakfast does not work and cannot be cancelled but you can order when you arrive so bypass the app.
The pub is tiered needs an upgrade and some help to reorganise their staff presentation and attention to details. Will there be any interest to do this as ringwood is slightly run down town and is feeling the economic pinch.

It’s a typical old style English pub/ hotel very friendly and welcoming.
It was as expected. We only wanted a comfortable bed for the night and it ticked all the boxes. Not luxury but just honest and friendly and perfect for our needs.

Location, staff, fresh bedding.
The strong air freshener smell is overwhelming in corridors and in the room – it's so pungent you can almost taste it, and it can make you feel unwell. A more subtle approach would really help. The lighting in the lounge areas is also incredibly bright, making it feel more clinical than relaxing.
The hotel is also let down by tired interiors: badly stained carpets, limescaled showerheads with poor water flow, and window frames are in such a bad way. Bathrooms are cleaned well but looking worn, with browning grouting and sealant.
With a few improvements, this could be a much more pleasant place to stay.

Great for me on the day, only passing through. Will use it again. Great pub in any event.
Nothing, I was very happy.
8.0 / 10.0
Very comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom with bath. Larger bath towel than hotels normally provide.
Very nice breakfast with plenty of choice. The staff were attentive, charming and helpful.
Although the actual bedroom, located directly above the bar so very noisy until closing time, was long enough to have room for a small wardrobe and desk with a comfortable chair it was so narrow that the sides of the double bed almost touched the walls. To get into bed involved either squeezing between the bed and the wall or clambering over the bed itself. The tiny "bedside tables" were each just large enough for the bedside lamp and a mobile phone.
The floor of the bedroom wasn't flat, but I suppose that's to be expected in such an old building. The brown carpet looked filthy, but I hope it was just stained.
