Chill Atacama

Maria the staff was very helpfull, spoke only Spanish though, but could translate on phone. Location 5 min walk to city center which was perfect. Maria helped us with laundry as well. Beds were nice and big, pillow could have been better. Shower with hot water.

No kitchen to use, had a kettle and water only.

It is hard not to give the place a top rating because the operator was such a positive, helpful and friendly person.. She offers truly wonderful service. The facility offers pleasant common areas., both inside and outside. Unlike many less expensive hostals,, there is heating at night, Hot water for the shower was plentiful. The room was nicely decorated and clean.

Our room was pleasant but really too small for two people. It contains only a bed and nightstands, No chair, or desk. There was also neglected maintenance in the bathroom--toilet seat falling off, shelf rickety, and faucet on the sink almost falling off. If you can deal with these drawbacks, it's a nice, economical place to stay.
