Excellent staff, room and amenities. Very close to Ueno station. Although it is not a 100% authentic Ryokan, it is great being able to stay in a place lile this in the middle of Tokio.

The Edo Sakura is a lovely place, full of peace, charm and Japanese delicacy. The rooms are small, as you might expect in Tokyo, but very comfortable and thoughtfully designed.
The staff were impeccable throughout our stay: welcoming, attentive and genuinely kind. Breakfast was excellent, and we also loved the little touches that make the experience feel special, such as having yukata available to wear during our stay.
The location is very convenient, with a metro station just a short walk away, while the hotel itself remains wonderfully quiet and peaceful.
A beautiful introduction to Japanese hospitality and a place we would happily recommend.

It was well situated and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained and the breakfast was very tasty.
All the rooms smell strongly of sweet potato and the hotel itself is quite touristy.
