Villa Station by Cassai

The caretaker, Jorge, was super nice and helpful, check-in was in the villa, we didn't have to go to the other hotel to pick up the key. When we arrived, the requested crib and iron were already prepared in the room. Cleaning ladies were also very nice while taking good care of the room. Nice touch with free coffee during our stay. The house with the garden and pool is just beautiful, fully relaxing atmosphere, and amazing view from the balcony. Area and parking is safe, gardeners came and went to take care about the surroundings of the house.

Be careful when you book the suite, because the photos on Booking are mixed photos from the 2 suites of the villa, therefore you might not get what you expect (The kitchen/living room photo is for the room 22, while the bedroom photo is for 23). I don't understand why they do this. Understanding that it is an old building, I must add that, as it has already been mentioned in plenty reviews, there is no ceiling insulation whatsoever, therefore the steps from the above room could get disturbing. Luckily, there weren't guests every night in that room. I made sure to bring earplugs with me. Since we stayed 8 consecutive nights, we would have welcomed to get the nicer room (no. 22) which is more spacious, has bigger bedroom, kitchen and bathroom than the one we stayed in (no. 23.) The bathtroom is small and would need a little renovation. The sunbeds need cleaning, and I had to clean the pool by myself all the time (which is no biggie). The reason I give 8 rating is for these nuances but still important ones. Other than this, we had a perfect time!

Loved the location being in the village, 5 min walk to great restaurants and a short drive to beautiful beaches. Room 22 1st Floor suite was spacious and had a balcony looking over the countryside.

It is an old building with no sound proofing between the floors. We had a noisy family above us that were super noisy from 7am, you could hear every bit of noise from children’s feet running around, to adult feet heavily stomping, the sounds of cupboard doors opening and closing etc. Also they have drain problems, and quite a bad smell from them.

It was close to our friend’s house.

This place is not like a typical hotel with an on-site staff. There is actually quite a lot of logistical guidance that should have been included in their Booking.com entry. But the information given on Booking.com was inadequate. We showed up outside locked gates with no instructions on what to do. And when we called the hotel phone number, the staff didn’t even know about our reservation or arrival location. The staff are all located at the sister hotel elsewhere. They just said they will be right there. And after waiting for almost half an hour, we called again and had to repeat the entire conversation. When the staff showed up finally, they acted like nothing was amiss and was surprised we didn’t know what to do. When we pointed out the lack of information in Booking.com, they just shrugged. The service at this place needs to improve for sure.
