Perfect location for the family. Peaceful, beautiful, safe and FULL of nature.
Nothing. Any hardships we had were due to being at the beach. Hotel Viejamar did all possible to mitigate them. Eg. Nets for mosquitos. Air con and pool for the heat, and plenty of spots for relaxation.

The place is very peaceful and quite
A great place to rest and to watch the sunset by the beach
The owner and the staff were very nice and they made our stay pleasant
We asked them if we can paint a surfboard and they just gave us colours and a surfboard we can work on
The location is remoted and there is not a lot to do in the area
For going to the supermarket you need to take a cab for 10 minutes to get some groceries
The WiFi wasn’t working very good but it was okay

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was nice. Breakfast was great.
The facility has seen better days I'm sure. The condition was shabby & everything was musty including the room and sheets. The property may have been nice way back (although very rustic), but it appears that little upkeep has been done since it was built some 20 yrs ago, We've stayed at far cleaner and well kept places in ecuador for this price. Toilets did not work so that was a big problem.
