Cleanliness was the main problem

Property is well located and very close from most of the places. Hotel is very aesthetic and clean. Rooms are huge especially the bath area. Food is too good even the breakfast was healthy and delicious . I liked the bakery section they serve one of the best cakes, must try any cheese cake. All the staff members are very helpful.

Pool can be cleaned regularly as there was flies and some things from trees floating on the corners.

The location is good. It’s a small boutique hotel so there aren’t too many people and the type of people who stay here are decent.

If you’ve stayed at Tamarind before the management changed then you expect a certain cleanliness and standard. That’s not there. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all bad. But here’s what is not great. The sheets were soiled. The registration desk wouldn’t let us change rooms and lied when asked. I wanted to book a room for my friend and at first I just asked if there are empty rooms, to which they answered “no”. And a second later, when I said I wanted another room for my friend, a room magically appeared. My room had dirty sheets but my friend’s room leaked and the room was flooded. She told the Booking.com guys and that’s the only reason they agreed to change her room (note that another free room magically appeared when they had told us there are zero empty rooms). So while they smile and try to give good service, if you’ve stayed here before then you’ll be disappointed.
